Dear Parents, Friends and Students

Welcome to the St Gregory’s College Community. 2018 will be another historical year for St Gregory’s College’s 92nd Year. This will be a new experience for the College where we will see the commencing of boys and girls from Kindergarten to Year 6. The experience of starting at a junior school brings a mixture of emotions for everyone including both students and parents and even more so on this historic occasion. Many students are leaving the comfort of their current primary school where they knew everyone, to a new College where they don’t know anyone. We will also have our first cohort of Kindergarten students, both boys and girls which will be a different transition for them, go from preschool to big school! Our aim at St Gregory’s College is to make this transition as smooth as possible so that the student will feel at ease. At St Gregory’s College, we encourage our students to achieve to the best of their ability in all areas of College life, through their engagement and learning in the classroom, the faith experiences that are offered, our sports program and a wide range of activities through our co-curricular program. I hope that you will also embrace the spirit and culture of the St Gregory’s College community and become involved in many aspects of College life. I trust that your association with our College community will be an enriching experience for both your family and your children. I look forward to meeting and speaking with each of you personally in the near future. Best wishes, Damien Millar Headmaster

Welcome to St Gregory’s College Junior School!

We are about to embark on an exciting journey as we begin the inaugural year of the Junior School. I congratulate you on selecting St Gregory’s College Junior School for your son or daughter. What an enormous privilege it is to be a part of this journey. There is a wonderful air of optimism and confidence about our future direction at the College. There is also a deserved acknowledgement of the firm foundations laid by our pioneers of St Gregory’s College from 1926, which has given the College such a wonderful reputation as a school of choice in the Macarthur area. I look forward to sharing with you the responsibility of shaping your child’s future during this part of their learning journey. As partners, parents and educators, we seek to maintain a balance between providing a nurturing, caring and supportive environment, while at the same time encouraging the students to experience and learn from failure. Creating a truly outstanding experience for the students of St Gregory’s College Junior School will be our focus and centrepiece in 2018. Fundamentally, our students need to feel safe, happy and to be learning. To achieve this, there has to be a balance between the academic, pastoral and co-curricular experiences. We will not waver in our commitment to establishing consistently high expectations for our students. Ultimately, this is about giving our students the attributes, experiences and learning that makes them young people who display the Marist qualities as we develop young people with a ‘strong mind and gentle heart’. We want our students to begin their lifetime of learning with a sense of wonder and a spirit of inquiry. This Handbook is designed to provide a scope of information that will aid your understanding of the school’s operation. Welcome to St Gregory’s College Junior School Community. Joel Weekes Head of Junior School

MISSION STATEMENT

OUR STORY St Gregory’s College is a Catholic school founded by The Marist Brothers. It has its origins in the vision of Saint Marcellin Champagnat, a man dedicated to the education of children from rural areas of southern France in the 19th Century. The Marist College community lives out the vision of Champagnat by providing a school to serve the needs of students from the metropolitan, Macarthur and rural areas. OUR PURPOSE The purpose of St Gregory’s College is to provide and promote holistic education, which strives to enhance the spiritual, intellectual, social, cultural and physical potential of young people. Members of Staff seek to do this within a caring, safe and challenging faith community. OUR VISION We believe the St Gregory’s College family has a unique spirit with a sense of belonging and seeks to develop this even further. We take up the challenge to impart the qualities that will provide a source of strength to each individual, enabling them to take an active and responsible role in society in the spirit of the Gospel as expressed in the College motto: “As you sow, so shall you Reap”

A BRIEF HISTORY

St Gregory’s began on 3 February 1926. It was not a great start by any measure. The five Brothers on the staff had only two students to care for at the end of the first day! On the bright side, by the end of the year, the student numbers had climbed to ten. It was a very modest start to an initiative by Mr Thomas Donovan. Thomas Donovan and his family were generous benefactors to the Catholic Church. In the early 1920’s he contacted the Marist Brothers about starting a school aimed to help boys learn farming skills to enable them to have careers on the land. This goal suited the Brothers whose philosophy was grounded in the education of young people in rural areas. However, when the original project failed to gain support, Donovan suggested that the Brothers start a College, similar to the Benedictine Colleges in England. Donovan provided use of the Campbelltown property to the Brothers as well as the name of the new College, St Gregory’s. The foundation Principal in 1926 was Br Felix. However, he was recalled to his position at St Joseph’s College at Hunters Hill even before the end of his first year. Br Laurentius, who was on the staff, took over the position and remained as Principal until 1933. Br Laurentius was a young man at only 27 years old. However, he suffered from ill health and carried the burden of pioneering a new school without mains electricity or a reliable supply of water. Although enrolments had climbed to around 50 students, the effects of the Great Depression saw enrolments tumble to ten students and sadly Br Laurentius passed away after a long illness. The College was threatened with closure.

Br Antoninus was appointed the new principal and he steadily led the College during the devastating Depression years. It was he who introduced school uniforms, the College crest and began negotiations to have the school registered as the first Catholic agricultural college in New South Wales. In 1937, a new Principal was appointed who was to dramatically shape the future identity and character of St Gregory’s. Br William Molloy had been a successful leader in several Marist schools before he came to St Gregory’s. He reinvigorated the College and was finally able to get the College registered as an agricultural high school. Br William was also responsible for choosing the College’s motto: Quae Seminaveris Metes which when translated from Latin means ‘What you sow, so shall you reap’. He was also the first to keep a detailed history of the College. Enrolments rose steadily but the threat of Japanese invasion of Australia during the Second World War saw numbers rise dramatically. Br Ambrose Brady led the College during the latter half of these difficult war years before Br William returned to resume leadership. Br Valens Boyle and Br Angelus McKinnley followed Br William in directing the fortunes of the College in the early fifties and the College was stretched to its capacity with over 226 boarders. In 1957 the College welcomed back its first ex-student Principal. Br Coman Sykes ushered in a new period of growth and development with energy and enthusiasm. Ovals were levelled, the swimming pool was started and in 1962 the College chapel was opened. The chapel was built as a result of the generosity of the old boys. Mr Len Sykes, in a massive fund raising tour, rallied ex-students across New South Wales to support this project. Br Anselm became Principal at the start of big changes in the 1960’s. At that time the Campbelltown area was booming with a growth rate of 13% compared to the state average of 2%. The Wyndham Scheme gave us six years of secondary education and this meant an extra year at school. The result was a great demand for places at St Greg’s. The number of day boys soon challenged those of the boarders. Br Anselm built a new class room and dormitory block in 1963 and kept going. It seemed each year a new project was being undertaken. Br Anselm, a big man in size as well as character,

unfortunately contracted cancer and died in May, 1970. He had led the College through a period of unprecedented change and growth. In the years ahead Br Charles Howard, Br Frederick McMahon, and then Br Clarence Cunningham, Br Ernest Houston, Br Geoffrey Schwager and Br William Connell followed as Principals. Each, in their own unique style, contributing towards the vision and growth of the College. Each man left behind buildings as monuments to their vision for St Gregory’s. For much of the 1990’s the College was led by Br Paul Hough. During this time he built new boarding houses for the junior years and the school’s reputation was enhanced through success in public speaking, oratory, musicals and agricultural competitions. In 2001 Mr Marshal McMahon was appointed as the first lay Headmaster of St Gregory’s. He followed in the footsteps of his predecessors in building the best facilities for the boys at the College and followed the wish of the founder of the Marist Brothers, Marcellin Champagnat, who wanted to ‘make Jesus known and loved’. In 2008 Br Peter Pemble began the year as Headmaster but poor health ended his tenure prematurely and Mr Tony Fitzgerald acted in the role. In 2009, Mr Damien Millar assumed this important role in the College and under his leadership the College has undergone an extensive rebuilding program. In 2010 a new outdoor recreation area was built adjacent to the boarder’s refectory and a new amenities building and undercover barbeque area were constructed beside No. 1 oval. In 2011 the Industrial Arts and Visual Arts blocks were completed. This was followed quickly by the refurbishment of the Science laboratories and preparation areas and the fit out of a new gymnasium under the new Industrial Arts block. In 2013 the former Science and Industrial Arts areas were transformed into new general classrooms and music classrooms respectively. In 2014 construction of the new hall was begun with completion in April 2015. In 2016, the College community welcomed an announcement from his Most Reverend Bishop Peter Ingham that St Gregory’s College will build and operate a co-ed Junior School in 2018. Building of the Junior School commenced in 2017 and an enrolment process for its first cohort of students has been underway and ready for 2018. In early 2017, the College refurbished the Boarders Refectory, which soon became the new Boarder’s Dining Room, name the Donovan Centre, which is now in operation. A new Learning Centre was opened and blessed as The Marian Centre in 2017 and is now in operation.

ACADEMIC LIFE

The Junior School seeks to educate the whole student, focusing on the total growth of the developing child, touching hearts as well as minds and encompassing social, physical, emotional and cultural needs in addition to academic development. Each student deserves to work at the edge of their competence, to be challenged and stretched so that they can grow. The students’ needs are met by a differentiated, inquiry based curriculum, taught and delivered by motivated, creative and caring classroom teachers. When students are engaged in inquiries that matter to them they can connect the concepts that they are learning about and apply what they have learned to their own lives. Creating an atmosphere in which students are engaged takes a certain attitude, as well as effective teaching skills. Teachers at St Gregory’s Junior School appreciate their challenge to be the designers of learning so that each student is engaged, inspired and challenged.

In a classroom of ‘engaged’ students you will see a teacher who is aware of where the students are. Providing just-in-time feedback involves a teacher who moves around the room, kneeling or sitting with students, listening in on discussions, conferring with individuals and recognising when students are in need of guidance. High expectations and challenges must be balanced with the right amount of support, geared towards helping

students to think. Skilfully checking-in can inspire students.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION At St Gregory’s College the compulsory study of Religious Education is one way that the College commits as a part of the Marist community and wider Catholic Church. The College follows the curriculum endorsed by the Diocese of Wollongong and the Archdiocese of Sydney. This curriculum incorporates the Scriptures, Church Traditions, God and Creation, Prayer, Liturgy and the Sacraments. Religious Education is supported by strong faith formation, liturgical and sacramental programmes to help our students enter into a relationship with their God. In partnership with parents, we hope to produce young children with strong minds and gentle hearts, able to respond to the realities of their world in faith, hope and love. MASS

The students at St Gregory’s College Junior School will be a part of the St Gregory’s College community through Mass attendance at various celebrations of the College such as the Feast of St Marcellin Champagnat and the Feast of St Gregory. Throughout the year, students of the Junior School will regularly attend liturgical celebrations as part of the Catholic faith including Ash Wednesday Liturgy, and Mother and Sons Liturgy. As seen in the Calendar, Junior School Mass is fortnightly and will be led by Fr David Catterall. All parents are welcome to attend. INFORMATION COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY (ICT) The Junior School will use ICT as a tool in the classroom. The primary focus is on developing strong, authentic and meaningful lessons. If this means to use an IT platform to get the best outcome for the students, than this will be the tool for the lesson. Alternatively, it may also be best to use old fashioned pen and paper! Our students will have access to iPads and desktops in the Junior School. These will be used and under the complete direction of the classroom teachers. All devices will remain on campus and will not go home with the with the students. AN INCLUSIVE MODEL At the Junior School, we believe in an inclusive model to support the needs of our students. As you can imagine, we will have a wide variety of needs in each classroom from extremely high achieving students through to students who need additional support in the classroom. Through the use of a differentiated model and effective use of support staff, we will implement an inclusive model to challenge each student at the edge of their competence.

The support offered in class will be fluid and be dependent on the lesson being taught and the needs of the students of that class. HOME LEARNING (HOMEWORK) Home learning is a vital component of school life. As student’s progress through the Junior School, the amount of time spent on home learning will increase. At St Gregory’s, our guidelines below reflect our foundational beliefs about teaching and learning and include an emphasis on inquiry, the ownership of learning by the students, and the importance of conceptual understanding. The following table provides an indicative guideline of an expected time a child might spend on home Learning tasks from Monday to Thursday.

Year Group/s Time Allocation for Home Learning

Kindergarten 10 minutes per night

Years 1 and 2 15 – 20 minutes

Years 3 and 4 20 – 25 minutes

Year 5 and 6 30 minutes

INTERVIEWS AND REPORTS A full school report for K-6 students is provided at the End of Term 2 and Term 4. These contain teacher comments, achievement and effort ratings with an emphasis on success and future growth. Parents will be invited to attend a Parent-Teacher Interview in Term 1 and Term 3 to discuss progress. Interviews can be made with a teacher also during term time by contacting reception or the teacher personally. Student-Led Conferences will take place in Term 2. The philosophy behind this approach is to provide the students with ownership of their learning by sharing it with parents and caregivers.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

CAMPS AND EXCURSIONS All classes are involved in excursions or incursions that are designed to support the learning that is taking place within the classroom. All students in Years 3—6 are involved in overnight camps. Whilst the camps have educational outcomes, they are also an integral part of our social and leadership programs. Camps for 2018: Year 3 & 4—Myuna Bay (2 Nights/3 Days): 1 – 3 August 2018 Year 5 & 6 —Bathurst (2 Nights/3 Days): 19-21 September 2018

SPORT Sport is held on Wednesdays for all K-6 classes. Students will be able to wear their sports uniform every Wednesday. St Gregory’s College is a part of two sports associations, CEO Sport for Carnivals and Gala Days and IPSSO Sport (Independent Primary Schools Sports Organisation) for regular Wednesday competitions. SPORTS CARNIVALS All sports carnivals (Swimming, Cross-Country and Athletics) will be held at the College throughout the year. The representative pathway for our girls and boys is through the Wollongong Diocese representative carnivals. All parents are encouraged to attend the school carnivals and we would value volunteers to help with these carnivals also. IPSSO (Independent Primary Schools Sports Organisation). As an Independent Primary School, we will be entering teams into the IPSSO competition in 2018. This competition takes place against local Independent Schools on a Wednesday. The local Independent Schools are Broughton, Macarthur Anglican, St Peter’s, Wollondilly Anglican and Oran Park Anglican. As a small school, we will not be able to compete in all sports in the first year, so we have been given 4 sports (2 in Summer and 2 in Winter). Mt Annan Christian is also a new school that will compete in the other sports. As we grow in numbers, we will be able to compete in all 8 sports. In 2018, through the Summer competition, we will compete in Mixed Oz Tag and Boys Cricket. In Winter, we will compete in Mixed Newcomb Ball (Junior), Mixed Volleyball (Senior) and Boys Soccer. Mr Hayes will be our IPSSO Coordinator. HOUSE SPORT Every Wednesday will be sports day for K-6. Whilst we will have teams going off to compete in the IPSSO Competition, we will also have a House Sport system taking place at school.

This will look different for K-2 and 3-6 and the variety of sports will change regularly. The College is blessed with beautiful grounds and sporting facilities and the Junior School will use these of a Wednesday. A sports schedule for Wednesdays will be designed on a term by term basis.

CHOIR AND MUSIC TUITION

There will be a Choir at the Junior School. Mrs Limbrey will lead our Junior School Choirs and will ask for expressions of interest as the year commences. Music is a co-curricular activity that we encourage. As a beginning school, this will be outsourced to Bandamonium. This will be dependent on student interest and will be confirmed early in Term 1. Bandamonium will run two Bands. The first one will be a concert Band for students that already play a particular instrument. There will be a training Band for students who have not played an instrument, but would like to. The cost will be $14 per week which will include a Band Lesson and a Tutorial Lesson. Parents can hire instruments from Bandamonium, can buy them outright from Bandemonium or buy their own from another supplier. More information to come in early in Term 1 2018. CO-CURRICULAR As a part of our commitment to a holistic education, our staff will be leading co-curricular activities for K-6 students throughout the year. When an activity is being introduced by a staff member, this will be communicated to the school community and students will be able to sign up for this club or activity. Some of the activities that the staff will be running this year are:

Debating – Years 3-6

Chess – K-6

Choir – K-6

WELLBEING AND PASTORAL CARE

PASTORAL CARE

School-based pastoral care refers to the total care of the individual. At St Gregory’s College Junior School we value each individual as a unique person and aim to develop within the person a strong faith, a love of learning and a belief in their self-worth. The College philosophy has as its foundation the principle that the primary form of pastoral care is good teaching, whether in the classroom, in the playgrounds, or on the sporting field. Pastoral care practices are based on Catholic values and a belief in the dignity of each individual. We strive to provide a safe and happy learning environment where all children can reach their potential. In keeping with the principles of Marist education, St Gregory’s College Junior School encourages a strong sense of community, which involves families and the wider community. It is clear that students develop most happily when the school and families are working together with common purpose and values. St Gregory’s College Junior School aims to be a community where:

there is joy and celebration

a sense of family is evident

students and teachers work together with common purpose

teachers have an active presence among the children

people pray and worship together

Jesus is known to the children

The pastoral care of students is the responsibility of all members of staff. At St Gregory’s College Junior School this is expressed through:

The development of quality relationships

The provision of quality learning experiences

The maintenance of an effective care network

The provision of outdoor education (camps)

The implementation of effective student management practices that foster self-discipline in the children

The provision of leadership opportunities for the children

The ongoing development of anti-bullying education, policies and processes

The support of those in need through prayer and assistance

The distribution of special awards to celebrate achievements and virtuous qualities

Through positive adult role modelling and restorative management practices we challenge students to live with courage and integrity, as exemplified by Marcellin Champagnat, founder of the Marist Brothers. Counselling services will be offered at the Junior School as a support for the children. Children can be referred by a staff member if they see fit. The counsellors have their own office area and sitting area to ensure privacy. Please see your child’s teacher if you wish counselling to take place with your son or daughter. STUDENT DIARY All Junior School students will be provided with a student diary. Not only is the diary used for students to note down their homework, it will also be used as a communication tool between parents and your child’s teacher. To get the most from this diary you child will use it in the

following ways:

Take it into class each day. Noting homework for each day/week. Get a parent/carer to sign the diary each week. Get a parent/carer to sign any notes written by

teachers. Show their teacher any notes from

WELLBEING

HEALTH SERVICES The Sick Bay is a temporary holding bay for students who become sick during the course of the school day. Students who become ill during the day will be seen and, if necessary, parents/carers will be contacted to come and collect their child. If a student requires urgent medical attention, the parent/carer will be contacted for approval to refer their child for urgent medical treatment if required to the local hospital. It is also not expected that Junior School staff should deal with injuries that have occurred outside the Junior School, prior to the day e.g. at training the night before, or an injury at home. Students should not be sent to school if they are ill in the morning as there are no facilities to cater for sick students. Parents/carers or the emergency contacts will be contacted to collect the student. Students who become ill must report to their Classroom Teacher for referral to Sick Bay. MEDICATION/MEDICAL FORMS Parents/Carers need to ensure that if their child requires medication to be taken on a daily basis at school, that they have provided the Junior School with their child’s Medication Consent Form. This is the same form that all parents need to provide in the event that your child requires the administration of Paracetamol whilst at school, due to illness. Paracetamol will not be administered unless the school has a signed authority from a parent/carer.

MOBILE PHONES

The Junior School Policy in relation to mobile phones

is that students cannot carry a mobile phone in school

time.

If a student needs to contact their parent(s), they can

do so at the Junior School Office. Mobile phones

must be kept in the student’s bag or left at the office.

SCHOOL CANTEEN

The Junior School Canteen is operated by Alliance.

Student lunches need to be ordered online through

Flexischools (See Appendices for Information and

Instructions).

There will be no ordering of recess until the canteen is

fully functional.

MUNCH AND CRUNCH

Students will have a short break between 8.30 am and

10.30 am each day of the week, during class time

where they will be able to snack on a piece of fruit

during class.

TRAVEL

TRANSPORT Students using public transport will need to apply through NSW Transport – Opal Card Application. Information brochure is included in the Parent Handbook. Applications are to be made online at: https://www.opal.com.au/en/get-an-opal-card/ Once you apply for an Opal Card, this will be issued directly to the student’s residential address. Students travelling in St Gregory’s Junior School uniform will be allowed on buses and trains until their passes have arrived however, it is advisable for the student to carry some money in case it is required. It is most important that parents/carers contact bus companies to find out which bus their child needs to travel with. MORNING/AFTERNOON TRAVEL School Services run from local areas. Parents/carers should check the departure times with their local bus companies. A regular bus service runs from Campbelltown Station in the morning. The last bus leaves at 8.10am from the St Gregory’s College side of the station. Buses depart from the College to Campbelltown Station in the afternoon. On occasions, there are delays with public transport and students may miss the last bus to the Junior School. A child who misses the last bus should firstly phone their parents/carers, who can then advise the Junior School Office of the situation. If your child travels on public transport to school, it would be wise for your child to carry the Junior School Office telephone number in their wallet or bag.

TRAIN TRAVEL AND SAFETY Children are asked to travel in the same carriage as older students, and particularly senior students. They are to remain in their seats and to follow the guidelines set down by the NSW Transport. When travelling in school uniform, the Junior School rules apply. All students are expected to behave in an appropriate manner. STUDENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP Student Drop Off Time: 8.00 am to 8.25 am Class Commences: 8.30 am Student Pick Up Time: 3.00 pm YARD SUPERVISION Students are supervised in designated areas before school, recess and at lunch. Out of Bounds areas are not supervised and students found in these areas will be disciplined. Morning supervision begins at 8.00am. No students should be arriving before this time unless they are attending OOSH Zone. There is no supervision after school except for activities organised by teaching staff. SCHOOL ZONE SPEED LIMITS To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all persons, all visitors and parents are asked to observe the School Zone Speed Limits during the specified hours before and after school. The speed limit around schools is 40km.

COMMUNITY

PARENT FORUMS

St Gregory's College Junior School will be having Parent Forums to provide an opportunity for parents to come together as the St Gregory’s Community, which provides them with an update from the Head of Junior School and staff on a variety of Junior School matters. Each Forum will discuss different topics and parents have the opportunity to raise issues or concerns that they may have. Please note that these forums are not dedicated to discussing a child’s individual performance, the opportunity for this is during parent/teacher interviews or making an appointment with your child’s Classroom Teacher. Parent feedback received from these sessions is positive and parents have found them to be of great value. They give them the opportunity to voice their opinion and discuss matters across a wide range of school related subjects. These forums will be held once a term in Kindergarten to Year 2 and Year 3 to Year 6 with a session in the morning and one in the evening so that parents can attend either session. The sessions will be held in the Hermitage Room within the Br Luke Hall. VOLUNTEERING AT ST GREGORY’S COLLEGE JUNIOR SCHOOL

In addition to the commitment of the St Gregory’s College Junior School executive, teachers and support staff, we need strong community partnerships. Parent and Carer volunteers play a critical role in this effort. From time to time the Junior School will conduct a variety of programs and events that require additional assistance from parents and carers. At the beginning and throughout the year, a list of program and events that require additional support by parents will be sent to parents to express an interest in volunteering. This means that we are able to offer students a variety of experiences that cannot be successful without parent and carer support. The Junior School office will contact all parents by email to announce the planned activities for the year ahead together with an “Expression of Interest to Volunteer Form” and procedures and expectations of parents and carers who would like to volunteer. A Volunteer Booklet outlining procedures and expectations will be given to parents who volunteer at various events. These programs and events will be morning teas, reading groups, open day, excursions, grandparents day and other events which will be advertised throughout the year. Expectations for being a volunteer: All volunteers must have or be able to obtain a Working With Children Check Number. This is important so that our school takes important steps to help create a safe environment for our children. The Junior School will provide parents with an application form and information on being a volunteer at the beginning of the school year in 2018.

Oosh Zone will offer both Before and After School Care exclusively for St Gregory’s Junior School Students commencing Term 1 2018. Before School Care Hours 6.30am – 8.00am including breakfast $22 After School Care 3.30pm – 6.30pm including afternoon snack $30

To help with child care costs, the Australian Government offers two types of financial assistance: the Child Care Rebate (CCR) and the Child Care Benefit (CCB). Parents may be entitled to one or both of these forms of assistance. Oosh Zone follows the National Quality Framework for Outside of School Hours Care and adheres to all relevant industry and workplace legislation. Staff are employed for their industry experience, training and suitability for working with school-aged children. Morning programs will include indoor passive activities such as craft, drama, construction activities and board games. After a structured school day it is important for children to have a chance to relax and participate in the activities they want to do. The after school program offered to the children will include a balance of outdoor play and active games, sport, craft, construction activities, toys and board games. There would be a weekly theme within the program to keep children interested. If you are interested in receiving more information or enrolling your child please email [email protected]. A program supervisor from Oosh Zone will then contact you directly with more information. FLEXISCHOOLS - CANTEEN ORDERING

Step 1: Register Go to flexischools.com.au from your computer or mobile device. Login or register for an account and add your students to get started. For the cashless card: Link your student's existing Student ID Card to your new Flexischools account. After logging in to Flexischools, choose your student and select Setup Card Number and follow the prompts to link your student's card. Step 2: Top-up Top-up your account using VISA, Mastercard, PayPal or by direct deposit. We recommend topping up your account by $20. We'll email you a reminder when your account is running low. For the cashless card: Set a daily spending limit for your student. To ensure that your student always has funds available, we recommend setting an automatic top-up from your credit card. You choose what the trigger amount will be and also how much it will top-up by each time. For example: You can choose to set your account to automatically top-up by $20 whenever the balance is below $10. Step 3: Order and Pay Order from the range of school services which could include canteen, uniform shop, events, fundraisers, fee collection, photocopying and more. For the cashless card: Students present their existing student card to pay for purchases using the topped up funds in your account. Log in online to review and monitor their spending. Step 4: Review or Edit For canteen orders: Your order is now shown on the first screen along with your students. You can view, change or cancel the orders at a later time, by logging in again. You can also create a repeating order out of an existing order, so you never need to remember canteen day again! For other orders: You will receive an email confirmation or E-Ticket of your order. For the cashless card: Login to your account to view your students' purchases and\or update their daily spending limit. Registration Instructions - Free, easy, online registration. Step 1: Click the REGISTER button below. Step 2: Enter your email. Step 3: You will be emailed a link to an online form - follow the link.
