Seasonal Changes The season of Lent brings with it changes to our liturgy. One of the most obvious is the change in liturgical colors from the green of ordinary time to the Violet or Purple of Lent. But there are other changes as well. Beginning on Ash Wednesday the joyous singing of the Alleluia before the proclamation of the Gospel is replaced by a simpler Gospel Acclamation. Similarly the sung Gloria (Glory to God in the Highest…) departs from our liturgy, to reappear on Holy Thursday. At St. Gregory’s we will also be switching to a simpler, more sober set of Mass Parts (Sanctus, Memorial Acclamation etc.) The ones we are using are found in the red Celebrate Song books beginning at number 5.6. They are actually some of the old Gregorian chant mass responses adapted for the English language.
Stations of the Cross Just a reminder that during the season of Lent we will gather to make the Stations of the Cross each Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Gregory’s. This beautiful traditional devotion offers us a chance to walk with Christ the way of his passion and to give thanks for his self offering for our sake.

Pornography Addiction among Children
and Teens…It’s Time to Talk
Pornography is impacting children and teens at rates
never before seen. By the age of 18, 90% of young
people have viewed pornography on the internet, far
too many are watching these violent and degrading im-
ages regularly; many are becoming addicted. Come and
learn more about the issue, its impact on our children
and how you can protect your children, grandchildren,
students and all children. Over 18 is a documentary
that looks factually at the issue. To find Parishes and
dates where you can see this informative piece, go to

Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, be my sanctification; Body of Christ, be my salvation; Blood of Christ, fill all my veins;
Water of Christ’s side, wash out my stains, Passion of Christ, my comfort be,
O good Jesus, listen to me In Thy wounds I fain would hide Ne’er to be parted from Thy side;
Guard me should the foe assail me; Call me when my life shall fail me.
Bid me come to Thee above, With Thy Saints to sing Thy love,
World without end. Amen.

CANS FOR COINS are available at the Church en-trances again for the Lenten Season.
