Muntjacs Our Year 5/6 basketball team were in

action on Tuesday at Ramsey School.

They were very competitive and came

away with an excellent third place finish.

Mr Riccio was very proud of the team for

the way that they conducted them-

selves and how they worked together

effectively on court. A huge well done

to our sister school, St Andrew's, who

were the overall winners!

Squirrels

We enjoyed our weekly Music lesson with Mr

Munson, developing our skills on the recorder.

Also in Science, we had an experiment using food colour-ing in the water to study how water travels up the roots or

stem of a plant into the leaves and petal of flowers!

Hedgehogs

We had a great time at Wiggery

Wood today drinking yummy hot

chocolate!

We also enjoyed our first visit

to the church last week for

Remembrance.

Badgers Year 2 have been solving problems using

the lightbox program on the laptops. Year

1 have been counting in tens up to one hundred using bead

strings. We have talked about Children

in need and searched for Mount Kili-

manjaro and The Great wall of china as

some people are raising money by

climbing and walking along them.

On Monday afternoon, the children took part in a poignant and thoughtful remembrance service at St Giles' church. Hedgehogs class

made remembrance wreaths, and Badgers performed a great poem. Squirrels

shared some thoughtful prayers and Muntjacs sung a song.

A special thank you to all those who were able to come along, to Mr Elms for playing

the Last Post on the trumpet and to the Hedinghams and District Royal British

Legion, whose attendance really made the occasion a memorable one.
