Tuesday: 9.00am Mass Thursday: 9.00am SCS Year 3 Mass at Prestons Friday: 9.00am Mass This week we had parish visitation from Bishop Terry Brady. The Bishop arrived at lunch time on Wednesday, visited our two primary schools and attended the Parish Pastoral Council meeting in the evening. The Bishop was very impressed with the children and staff in both primary schools and also viewed the construction of the Child Care Centre at Prestons. Bishop Terry would like to come back to the parish at some stage and celebrate the Sunday Liturgies. I am currently working out dates with his secretary. Last Tuesday Mark Turkington, the Regional Director of the Catholic Education Office for the Southern Region, joined me in attending St Francis Xavier’s Primary to announce that the new principal commencing term one next year is to be Ms Frances Bonanno. Fran had an opportunity to meet with the staff and we welcome her to our community. Don’t forget our farewell next Sunday for Mary-Louise Green. The Sydney Alliance has asked us to host a district assembly on the 26th August. This will include many local dignitaries from both government and business as well as church leaders. This will be a significant event for our parish so please keep this date free and more details will follow shortly. As you know the Sydney Alliance is a coalition of organisations working to build a better society.

This week we had parish visitation from Bishop Terry Brady. The Bishop arrived at lunch time on Wednesday, visited our two primary schools and attended the Parish Pastoral Council meeting in the evening. Enrolment for First Communion will be held on

Tuesday 24th July at 7.00pm

Parents of children in Year 3 or above who

have already made their First Reconciliation

are invited to attend.

Attendance at the Enrolment Night is

compulsory.

Late enrolments will not be accepted.
