All tasks will be on Seesaw this week.

This week’s focus is addition and subtraction and they will all be problem solving and reasoning activities. Many will ask children to record their thinking using the microphone.

Use the website to explore the Tundra and the food chains in this habitat. https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zbnnb9q/articles/zcgbjty

Draw some food chains showing the producer and consumers. Think which animals would be omnivores, carnivores and herbivores. Can you find 3 facts about each of the animals and plants in the food chain?

Totem Poles and Pouwhenuas (land posts).

From your research last week, you should be designing and collecting the materials to make your pole this week. Try to think about making it unique to your family and upload a photo of it to seesaw.

Practise 2, 5- and 10-times tables – Topmarks.comTT Rockstars.

Music Geography Computing REBody Percussion Part Two:Last week you experimented with ‘Body Percussion’ or using your body to make sounds and music. The grid on the next page has sounds you need to make and actions you need to do at the same time. So, when you say “boing, boing” you have to nod your head as well.

Practice the sounds and the actions so you are confident

Use the grid to write any human and physical features you can see. Can you find things that are not on the word mats?

Following on from last week’s algorithm task. Programme the rabbit to eat as many carrots as possible by dragging the tiles into place in the correct order. Make sure you do all the practice examples.

You may need to work out how to debug your algorithms to get all of the carrots.

In school, we learned about God’s creation by reading Genesis, Chapter 1 from the Bible. You thought about how important God’s creation is to Christians and how we should be thankful for everything in our world. Watch the video clip https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/z62hyrd and then reflect quietly for about 10 minutes about how amazing the world is. Use these questions to help you reflect.

How did the video make you feel and why? Are the images you saw (the volcano or the waterfall) important to us and why? Do we need them all today? Why or why not? Do we care about all them? Why? Why not? Should we care today about God’s creation? Why? How? Do you have any questions about the world today? What are your thoughts about the
