Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are the salt of the earth. Each and every one of us is called to add a taste in life to others. As salt of the earth, our deeds must always lead others to Christ or else we are like flavorless salt. Last Sunday on the feast day of the Presentation of the Lord, we blessed the candle that we use as a reminder that we are the light of the world and that we need to constantly shine for others to see. Light is an important image in our readings to-day. True disciples of Jesus witness to others and help illumi-nate their way to God.
This weekend, we are happy to have with us our bishop Joseph Siegel giving the sacrament of confirmation to our 24 children. We thank the teachers, parents, guardians and those who have help nurture their faith and help them to witness this day. What a wonderful testimony of their faith. We continue to support them and pray for them for the strength of the Holy Spirit that they may grow stronger in their faith and defend it.
I am always overjoyed in moments like these when I see the church growing. Join me in praying for these our children as they mark this important occasion in their lives. May the Holy spirit descend upon them with strength and power from above now and forever.
I remain your brother in Christ,
Fr. Crispine Adongo
