Dear Parishioners,
Due to a variety of rumors out there, I thought I’d offer a little background on the changes to take place this
summer.
As you know, the Friars of Our Lady of the Angels Province voted to accept the upcoming pastorate of
St. Clement, Annunciation, and St. Michael’s Churches. I’ve also assured you that our Minister Provincial
and his board of advisors are putting together a team of friars for this new commitment. Since the friars are
preparing for a new term (2018-2022), we will need to have the friars in place for the new pastorate which will
occur at some point during this term.
As you know, my original commitment was to St. Clement Church and I willingly accepted Annunciation at the
retirement of Fr. Justin. I have appreciated my time with both faith communities and in working together with
Frs. Julio, George and Sister Susan.
At the same time, I have been quite open in saying that I do not want to take on a third Church. Therefore, a
new pastor will be appointed together with friars to assist him. It is my understanding that the transition date
for the new team will be August 2nd.
The one exception is Fr. Julio who will be leaving on July 9th for Rome to assist as a translator at our world-wide
General Chapter. He will be in Rome until the end of August and then will report to his new assignment.
During Fr. Julio’s absence in July, another friar will be assigned to assist us until the new team arrives.
I ask your prayers, and you can be assured of mine, as this time of transition and
change moves forward. All of you have a special place in my heart.
Peace and all good.
Fr. Vincent
**We will no longer hold devotions on
Monday evening. The last Monday will be
Monday, June 11 with the conclusion of the
St. Anthony of Padua novena.**
**Beans and Bread will not be
accepting any more casseroles
during the months of May and June.**
