VOCATION PRAYER
Faithful God, you created us to love you and your people. You have chosen some to serve by responding to
the call of the priesthood and religious life. Send your Holy Spirit to stir the hearts of those you have called to follow this path of spiritual leadership. We ask this in the name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.

ST. CHRISTOPHER OUTREACH HELP LINE
We want to thank all those who contributed towards filling baskets for the holidays, We are very thankful for all the support by our Parishioners. Without your help, we would not be able to provide the assistance needed. To replenish our stock for the new year, we are in need of regular size boxes or bags of cereal, beans and rice, spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, pasta and rice mixes, grits, oatmeal and ramen noodles. We also need cans of tuna, chicken, Vienna sausages, spam or similar products, fruit, peanut butter and jelly, soups, tomato sauce, gravy in packs or bottles and drink mixes like tea bags, Kool-Aid, hot chocolate and Crystal Light. Please help us by checking “current best-by” dates. If you are in need of assistance, call 831-7692 and leave a message. We will return your call.
ADORATION CHAPEL. A “Gift” is offered to all members of St. Christopher Parish. Spending only one hour with OUR LORD in the Blessed Sacrament can be a way to clear your mind and help you live a
better life. Come join in adoration of OUR LORD. The hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday. Information is on the table at the entrance to church, or you may direct any questions to Jerry Cox at 458-3152. Please help us to keep our Adoration Chapel open. Thank you and God bless.
Lent is a time of prayer, penance and sacrifice, a time for the entire family to be more attentive to the words of Jesus and to each other. In order to assist families in observing Lent together, the CYO has made paper bags with 40 ideas for families to try during Lent—instructions included. This is a simple way to bring Lenten actions to life beyond giving up something. If you are interested, please take one bag per family, and we will add more bags as needed. The bags are located in the blue bin in the back of church. CYO hopes you enjoy this Lenten devotion.
Advertiser of the Week HAVE ANNOUNCEMENTS OR ORGANIZATIONAL CHURCH EVENTS, PHOTOS OR NEWS RECAP FOR THE BULLETIN? Please forward to the rectory two weeks in advance of the event. This includes
Mass Requests. You can e-mail the Rectory at [email protected].
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
FAMILY OF THE MONTH
February 2020
Richard “Rick” and Valerie St. Amant
Family
The Richard “Rick” and Valerie St. Amant Family has been selected as the February Family of the Month. Rick serves as the Director of Religious Education for our parish, and he enjoys stepping in as needed as a lector, cantor, sacristan, usher, and Extraordinary Minister. Rick and Valerie are proud to be celebrating their 22nd year as part of the 11 a.m. Choir! When Jimmy Gennaro moved to Zachary, Valerie stepped up to take over playing the guitar for the group, and Rick took over planning the music each week. Their three daughters attended and were graduated from St. Christopher School, and both Rick and Valerie spent time as room parents and chaperones for field trips. We are so grateful for the St. Amants' tireless commitment to serving God within our parish and thank them for sharing their love and faith. May God richly bless them!
