This Week End Second Collection: Communication

This week’s second collection supports the CCC (Catholic Communication Campaign). If Jesus were on earth today, how would he spread his message of salvation? Would not he use all communications vehicles to share the Good News? The CCC believes that Jesus would use as many means as possible, and that is why it supports pro-jects that use the entire array of media tools available today to evangelize and promote Gospel values. Special Mass and Triduum to Honor Blessed Scalabrini

On Wednesday, June 1st we, the Scalabrinian priests, honor our founder with a Eucharistic celebration at 7:00 pm (In English with some parts in Italian, Spanish & Portu-guese). That day at the entrance of the Church, there will be a box to collect non perishable food for our Food Pantry. It would be a gesture of mercy from all our parishioners to feed the hungry .

Moreover from May 30th to June 1st in the evening, we are going to have a Triduum (three days of prayer) to Hon-or Blessed Scalabrini in different languages.

• May 30 - MON – 7:00 pm: Prayer to be said in Portuguese

• May 31 - TUE – 7:30 pm: Prayer to be said in Ital-ian

• June 01 - WED – 6:30 pm: Bilingual Prayer to be said in English and Spanish

All are invited.

• The month of May is dedicated to the Blessed Moth-er. It is recommended to recite the Rosary daily. The Universal Church needs our prayers.

• May 14 - SAT- 11:00 am: Confirmation ceremony for the English/Spanish Communities.

• May 21 - SAT- 11:00 am: First Communion for the Hispanic Community.

• May 22 - SUN– 10:30 am: Mass in honor of St. Pío

We raised $3,163 for that collection. The money has been sent to the Archdiocese. May God bless you all for your generosity towards our suffering brothers & sister in Ecuador.

Además el día 21 de mayo ten-dremos en la comunidad la misa pro-vida. Durante la cele-bración tendremos la bendición de las mamás embarazadas y después de la misa habrá una hora santa. Quien lo pueda hacer está cordialmente invitado.

JUAN BAUTISTA SCALABRINI: el 01 de junio ten-dremos una celebración especial en honor a nuestro funda-dor y padre de los migrantes. La Eucaristía será a las 7:00 p.m. Invitamos a la comunidad para que participen de nues-tra alegría scalabriniana.

BATISMO: O batismo acontece todo pr imeiro domingo de cada mês. O curso de preparação para o batismo é sempre no sábado que antecede o domingo do batismo, é obrigatório que pais e padrinhos façam o curso de preparação para o batismo. É necessário a certidão de nascimento e o preenchimento do formulário de batismo que poderá ser feito no Centro Scalabrini de Segunda a Sexta, no horário de 5pm as 8pm ou na casa paroquial de 2pm as 5pm.

MATRIMÔNIO: Os matr imônios na nossa comunidade são aos sábados nos horários de 11:00am, 1:30pm e 5:30pm. Os noivos devem escolher a data, marcar horário com o padre no mínimo 6 meses antes do casamento para providenciar a documentação necessária

MEMORIAL DAY MASS – Our sacred Memorial Day Mass will be held on Tuesday May 24th at 6PM inside our mausoleum. All are welcome to attend. FAMILY SERVICE BOOTH – We will once again be hosting a Family Service Booth at our Holy Cross Cemetery. This booth will be located just outside the front entrance of our original (larger) mausoleum.
