Spotlight on Stewardship
Stewardship Reflection
December 31, 2017 - The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and
Joseph
“…as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must forgive.” -
COLOSSIANS 3:13
Forgiveness – one of the hardest things for people to do.
It’s amazing how long we can hold a grudge or be angry
with someone. As we celebrate the feast of the Holy
Family, take this opportunity to give the gift of forgiveness
to someone - maybe someone in your family, maybe a
friend, maybe a co- worker or neighbor or, maybe yourself.
Pick up the phone or text someone right now.
Stewardship of Treasure December 24, 2017 In-Pew Offertory $72,236
December 24, 2017 Online Offertory $4,986

2017 Bishop’s Annual Appeal (BAA) Parish Goal: $158,631

365 family donors or 25.21 percent of parish families
Note: These numbers were posted by the diocese on
December 21, 2017.
Please support this year’s Bishop’s Annual Appeal to help
provide education and formation of our seminarians, to
assist in charity to the poor and to educate our children
and grandchildren in the faith. Contribution envelopes are
available in the Commons Area of the church, or
donations may be made online at diosav.org/baa.
Living the Eucharist
Living the Eucharist is a dynamic, parish-based program
designed to help revitalize parish life and mission through a
more profound experience of Sunday Mass. It helps the
entire parish—adults, teens, and families—grow in their
Catholic faith and live more fully as missionary disciples of
Jesus. The program runs for three years during Lent.
Parishioners can take part in sharing groups, family
activities, devotional and catechetical Lenten readings, and
a prayer campaign. Team leaders will help the parish by
facilitating small group meetings once a week during Lent.
There will be a training session for team leaders. If you are
interested in being a team leader, please call Kimberly Kaup
in the parish office at 706-561-8678 or register at
stannecsg.com/living-the-Eucharist by Jan. 2, 2018.
All registered members of St. Anne will automatically receive
an end-of-the-year statement before Jan. 31. Please note the
following posting procedures for 2017-18 contributions:
Contributions received by Dec. 31, 2017 will be posted to
2017 and will appear on your 2017 statement.
Monies from our 10 a.m. New Year’s Day Mass will be
posted to 2017 and will appear on your 2017 statement.
Contributions received on or after Jan. 2 will be posted to
2018 and will not appear on your 2017 statement.
Please make sure to review your statement to ensure
contributions have been properly designated. You may check
your statement online at anytime throughout the year. If you
have questions, contact Tonya at [email protected].
Please remember your donation to our Capital Campaign is
tax deductible the same year in which you make it. The
contribution is considered paid when you put the check in the
mail or when it is charged to your credit card (not when you
pay the credit card company). Please make sure your
donation to the campaign is made by December 31 to claim
your tax deduction.

Baby Shower for Jesus
St. Anne-Pacelli Catholic School 7th
graders recently hosted a “Baby
Shower for Jesus” in their Religion
classes. The students raised money
to purchase baby items. The
bottles, blankets, diapers and more
were taken by students to St. Anne
Community Outreach and gifted to
mothers in need in our community.
Kinderkeeper Program
St. Anne-Pacelli 5th graders serve as
"Kinderkeepers." They are paired with
Kindergarten students and develop special
bonds during the school year. On December
20th, the last day of school before Christmas
Break, our 5th graders visited Kindergarten
classrooms to read Christmas stories
together. This program is a great way for 5th
graders to demonstrate stewardship while
developing leadership skills.
Religious Education Reminders
Sunday School classes will resume on Sun., Jan. 7.
Youth Groups
Our parish’s Middle and High School Youth Groups will
meet on Sun., Jan. 14. For more info, please visit

can learn how and where to encounter Jesus in their
lives and in others. The retreat will be held in the Youth
Room on Sat., Jan. 20 beginning at 10 a.m. We will end
the retreat with Mass at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $10 at the
door to cover lunch and snacks. Pre-register online by
