NEW STUDENT OPEN HOUSE – There will be an Open House at St. Ann’s on Thursday, March 10 for new students. The Open House will run from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m

FESTIVAL OF CULTURES – St. Ann’s School will host a Festival of Cultures on Wednes-day, April 27, begin-ning at 6:00 p.m. The festivities will include cultural foods, shopping, games, and fellow-ship. Make plans now to attend and bring your best herit-age dish to share at the potluck!

The God Is Program has been re-scheduled for Saturday, October 29th.

The PCCW, Ladies Society, will be hosting a meeting Wednesday, March 9th, in the cafeteria at 6:00. We will be passing out/selling green ribbons for St. Pat-ricks day at church Saturday and Sunday March 12, and 13th, and at Walmart March 16th and 17th all day long. UN DOMINGO PARA ALEGRARSE Pocas parábolas del Evangelio son tan queridas por el pue-blo cristiano como la del hijo pródigo. Nos podemos identificar con todos sus personajes, y con las emociones que se entrecru-zan entre ellos. El dolor del padre por la avaricia y desconside-ración de su hijo se convierte en alegría al verlo regresar. El dolor del hijo por haber perdido todo lo que tenía –dinero, fa-milia, amigos– se convierte en alegría delirante al ver como su padre lo recibe. Pero también comprendemos el desconcierto del hijo ma-yor ante la generosidad de su padre. Para el hijo mayor, la virtud no es su propia recompensa. Ha trabajado duro, y ha sido un hijo leal, pero eso no se celebra con fiestas ni banque-tes. Pero su padre es un padre pródigo, y prodiga su perdón y su misericordia. Y espera que su hijo mayor tenga esa misma generosidad. Quiere que todos se regocijen porque el que es-taba perdido ha sido hallado. Este es un domingo para alegrarse. Es día de hacer una pausa, y de considerarnos y alentarnos unos a otros. Porque todos somos hijos pródigos, en el camino de regreso al ho-gar de nuestro padre. Y debemos también ser hermanos ma-yores, pero hermanos mayores que esperan junto con el pa-dre ansioso, mientras vislumbra el horizonte. En Cristo Je-sús nos vemos reconciliados, con Dios Padre, y con nuestros hermanos. En su Muerte y Resurrección hemos pasado de la muerte a la vida. Somos una nueva creación.
