Dear Parents, We thank you for entrusting your children to us for their religious education. Our Religious Education Program at St. Agnes has grown and we are proud to share with you that last year we had over 640 registered students, 170 will receive the Sacrament of First Communion and 90 received the Sacrament of Confirmation. This growth would not be possible without your commitment to share your Catholic faith with your children, but especially this would not be possible without the over 100 volunteers that share their love and time with your children, the teachers and assistants. To be better prepared for the beginning of the school year, we have decided to open registration now. In order for you and your family to take advantage of our early registration fee, you must register your children by June 16th. Please read carefully the information attached to make sure you understand the new fee schedule. Fees goes up after June 16th and then again after August 25th. It is also important to note that next year we will be offering classes on Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 6 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. You must choose the day you want your children to attend, but space is limited especially on Wednesday and we cannot make any exceptions, so if scheduling is an issue please register early. This year you are able to register online in our App under the Applications tab, or on our website at www.stakb.org. If you prefer, you may register in person on Mondays from 10 AM to 2 PM. After May 20th, we will receive registrations Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 AM to 2 PM, and on Wednesday from 12 PM to 5 PM. If you have any questions please call us at 305-361-1379. Many Blessings! In the love of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Sr. Maria Andrea, SCTJM

BIOGRAPHY OF FR. JUAN CARLOS
PAGUAGA
Juan Carlos Paguaga was born on June 22, 1969 in Leon, Nicaragua, where young Juan Carlos heard the call of God as a child.
Juan Carlos is the eldest of 4 children born to Carlos Ignacio Paguaga and Brenda Anabella Gonzalez. The family left Nicaragua to settle with Doña Brenda’s family in Guatemala when Juan Carlos was just 15, and it was there that he earned his Bachelor degree in Industrial and Drawing of Construction. His heart still ached to answer the call of Christ to serve His people; however, when Don Carlos passed away in 1983, Juan Carlos knew it was his responsibility to support his mother and siblings.
Like many others who came to the United States before and after him, Juan Carlos took what work he could to support his family. Still, he could hear the voices of angels; throughout his first years laboring in construction, fast food and hotel service, Juan Carlos practiced his faith and joined the parishes of St. Agatha and St. Elizabeth of Hungary. In 1991, he finally entered St. John Vianney Seminary and began a four-year course of study that would earn him a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy. He immediately followed those studies by earning a Masters Degree in Divinity at St. Vincent de Paul Seminary, and was ordained as a priest by His Excellency, John Clement Favalora, at St. Mary’s Cathedral on May 13, 2000.

STEWARDSHIP COMMITMENT FORMS
If you have not completed your stewardship commitment for 2017, you may submit it online via our website or mobile app.
Thank you!
IN OUR COMMUNITY We are created in God's image and likeness. All we are is a blessing, given to us by God and trust. Our very lives are a gift, breath upon precious breath. Genesis states God looked upon what he had made and found it good; and entrusted to human beings. Our human vocation is to be good stewards of what we have received. Accepting the call to be disciples and stewards pro-vides a means for putting God at the center of our lives and shaping their actions and decisions accord-ingly. In this manner we connect our faith with our daily lives. When we grow as stewards, we learn to recognize that we have a need to give and we are created in the image of God, who is the giver of all good things. Growing as a steward is recognizing the grace of God.
