The Artists

Cast by Queen, Michael Falzon’s break-

through role came as Galileo in the original

Australian production of We Will Rock You. He

was subsequently invited to reprise the role

in Japan and the UK, playing the show’s first

arena, Dublin’s O2. Other credits include The

Wharf Revue (STC), Hedwig in Hedwig and the

Angry Inch, Homer in Floyd Collins (City Recital

Hall), Stacee Jaxx in Rock of Ages, Jason in

Ordinary Days (Darlinghurst Theatre), Side by

Side by Sondheim, The Arbiter in Chess, Judas

in Jesus Christ Superstar (AIS Arena) and Jeff

Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of the Worlds

(Australasian and UK/European tours).

He is a frequent soloist with symphony

orchestras, and appeared in English National

Ballet’s Strictly Gershwin, and A Friday Night

at the Opera with the BBC Concert Orchestra.

In Australia he has also appeared in The Music of

Queen (Sydney, Melbourne), Painted from Memory

(national tour), and The Music of James Bond

(Perth, Sydney). His recordings include I Dreamed

a Dream – Hit Songs of Broadway and ATOMIC –

A New Rock Musical, and in November he was

in New York for the recording of Get Jack, a new

musical by Damien Gray and Kip Winger. Michael

Falzon created Swing on This to open the 2014

Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

Australian recording artist Luke Kennedy shot

to international attention in 2013 as Ricky

Martin’s grand finalist on season two of The Voice

Australia. As series runner-up, he was the first

artist to secure a No.1 single on the iTunes charts

for his stirring rendition of ‘Time to Say Goodbye’.

Following his success on the show, he

performed with Ricky Martin as a special guest

on his 2013 Australian tour and released his first

album, A Time for Us, which debuted at No.6

on the ARIA charts. Before his star turn on The

Voice, he toured internationally with Australian

classical crossover sensation The Ten Tenors

and has appeared in the title role in Jesus Christ

Superstar in no fewer than six productions around

the country.

Luke Kennedy is a regular TV presenter on

Channel 7 Queensland’s popular weekly travel

and variety show The Great South East. His EP

Skin & Scars was independently released in

2015, reaching the Top 5 of the iTunes Singer-

Rob Mills is a singer, presenter, actor and

media personality, who first came to national

attention in 2003 as a finalist on the first series

of Australian Idol, and released a charting album

the following year. He is a long-time member of

Swing on This and his musical theatre credits

include roles in Wicked, Grease, Legally Blonde,

The Last Five Years, Into the Woods, Hair, Ghost

the Musical and Jesus Christ Superstar. During

the 2015 cabaret season, he launched, to rave

reviews, his first one-man cabaret show Rob Mills

is Surprisingly Good – inspired by the ‘surprisingly

good’ reviews he always manages to receive from

critics and audiences.

Rob Mills’ combination of irreverent personality,

an innate ability to ad lib and an instinctive

knowledge of ‘where the camera is’ means he’s

the perfect MC and television presenter and host.

He shone as the Host of Young Talent Time in

2012, and has featured in shows ranging from

Celebrity Apprentice (2013) to Dirty Laundry

Live, The Project, Dancing with the Stars (2009),

Spics and Specs, Postcards and The Footy Show.

His television acting credits include roles in

Peter Allen: Not the Boy Next Door (2015) Winners

& Losers (2011) and Underbelly: Razor (2011).

He returns this year to Australia’s longest-running

drama, Neighbours.

musical theatre performer. Recent roles include

Grease Nolan in Mel Gibson’s feature film

Hacksaw Ridge and Alan Bond in Nine Network’s

House of Bond. He has also played Trystan Powell

in Home and Away, starred for three seasons as

Rob Duffy in the Network 10 series Wonderland

and as Buzz for Network 7’s Packed to the

Rafters.

In 2017 his stage credits included the role of

Evan in MTC’s Vivid White and Achilles in Paris –

A Rock Odyssey (MTM), as well as numerous

concerts around Australia with Swing on This,

of which he has been a member since 2014.

Other stage highlights include Thomas in Rolling

Thunder Vietnam, The Phantom in The Phantom

of the Opera and Zack Mayo in the premiere

of An Officer and a Gentleman. In 2011 he

received rave reviews for his portrayal of Tommy

DeVito in Jersey Boys – his first Australian

performance since he created the role of Billy

Kostecki in the premiere of Dirty Dancing in

2004. He subsequently played Billy Kostecki in

every English-speaking production worldwide for

almost six years, including the West End, Canada,

Chicago, Boston and Los Angeles.
