With the ever flowing Grace of Sathgurunathar, Guruji and Namaji, the Arudra Pournami Aradhana Festival of His Holiness Sathguru Sri Gnanananda Giri Swamigal is to be celebrated from January 9th to 12th of 2017 at Dakshina Halasyam, Thennangur Ashram in the immediate presence of His Holiness Swami Niranjanananda Giri, the current Pontiff of Sri Gnanananda Giri Peetam founded by our Guruji,.

His Holiness Sathguru Sri Gnanananda Giri Swamigal was the sixth Pontiff of Jyothir Mutt, the northernmost Mutt established by Sri Jagathguru Adishankara,to propagate the Advida doctrine. Our beloved Master, is still ever present amongst us, guiding and blessing us through His infinite love.Rituals like Ganapathy Homam, Srividhya Homam, Navagraha Homam, Sri Sudharshana Homam and Chandi Homam are to be performed during the Aradhana celebrations. Nama Sankeerthanam and Deepa Pradhakshinam under the auspices of the Bhagavatha Sammelana Samajam, as well as Discourses on the Vedas and Upanishads, Musical melees and other religious and cultural festivities will also form part of the four days of grand ceremonies. Several Scholars, Artistes and Musicians are to take part in the events. With the Perennial Grace of all our Gurus and according to Their Divine Will,arrangements are being made for Annadhanam (free mass feeding) and Vasthradhanam (free distribution of clothes) for all devotees, delegates and the poor.The social welfare and environment sustaining activities being undertaken by the Peetam throughout the year and on such blessed occasions shall also be the highlight of this festival.
