Inter University Handball Men Championship 2019-20. The event will be organised at New

Horizon College, Marathalli, Bangalore-560103, Karnataka from 21st to 24thDecember 2019.

The following instructions are to be taken care of by the participating Universities.

1. The South Zone Inter University Handball (Men) Championship 2019 will be held from

21-12-2019 to 24-12-2019 at New Horizon College, Marathalli, Bengaluru

2. All the matches will be played in both day light and flood-lights. The timings of the matches

shall be from 6.30 am to 8.00 pm on all the days of competition (kindly refer fixtures and

match schedule copies).

3. The Inauguration of the South Zone Inter University Handball (Men) Championship will be held on

21.12.2019 at 09.30 a.m. All the participating universities are requested to instruct their teams to be

present for inauguration along with the Manager and Coach with their University flag.

4. The Championship will be conducted as per the rules and regulations prescribed by AIU, New Delhi

and Handball Federation of India. The matches will be played on Knock-out cum league basis. The

teams are expected to report with proper uniforms as per AIU.

5. Participating Universities are requested to inform their travel schedule to the organizing Secretary in

advance, to arrange accommodation for Teams & message through Whats App.

6. The Teams will be provided unfurnished accommodation (Dormitory type) 24 hours before the

commencement of their respective matches and the teams have to vacate within 24 hours after

losing their last match in the Championship. (Teams arriving early & departing late shall make

their own arrangements of overstay)

7. The Teams are informed to make their own arrangements for boarding and locks.

8. The climate during the tournament will be very chill & rainy hence players shall bring adequate

winter clothes & Bed sheets.

9. Kindly confirm your university team participation / withdrawal if any on or before 16/12/2019. Also

send the contact numbers of the concerned Coach/Manager for further communication.

10. Team Managers meeting will be held on 20.12.2019 at 5.00 p.m at the New Horizon College,

Marathalli, Bengaluru, All the Managers are requested to attend the meeting along with 4 sets of

Eligibility Certificate and +2 Marks card, ( Degree Marks Cards in case of PG Students) duly

attested by the competent authorities, without fail.

11. A Caution Deposit of Rs.2,000/- will be collected from the Managers at their lodging place. This

amount will be refunded at the time of check out with deductions if any, in respect of damages, etc.

12. Each Team shall have to pay an officiating charge of Rs.1500/- per match as per the rules of AIU.

13. The Championship Balls approved by Handball Federation of India, will be used in the Tournament.

14. All the Teams shall report at least 30 minutes before the commencement of their Match,

otherwise their opponent team shall be awarded walkover as per the Championship rules.

15. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to make changes (to pre-pone/post-pone/curtail) in

the Championship Program, if any, as and when required, in consultation with umpires.

However, prior intimation will be given to the managers for effecting such changes.

16. The decisions of the officials shall be final and binding. Protests, if any, shall be decided by the jury

of Appeal. A participating team may lodge protest on technical matters, within 30 Minutes of the

completion of their match along with protest fee of Rs. 2000/-.

17. The teams shall produce their players ID cards as and when required by the organizers.

18. Team Managers are responsible for their players to maintain absolute discipline during the

Competition and at the place of accommodation.

19. The Decision of the Organizing Committee shall be final and binding in all the matters concerned.

20. The defaulting universities which are having not paid the subscription fee to AIU, for the year 2019-

20, will not be allowed to participate in this Championship, as per the circular extended by AIU,

New Delhi.
