since 1983. Core technical competence & professional approach ensured a steady growth in

customer base, resources & revenue. Goldfinch capabilities are demonstrated through

successful completion of various type of waste water treatment & recycle projects. Today

Goldfinch is a very prominent name in the field of waste water & water treatment offering a one

stop solution. Goldfinch is executing wastewater treatment projects not only in India but

abroad as well. Well defined working philosophy, is the backbone of Goldfinch's growth.

During last few years we have been making conscious efforts to add value to the water

and wastewater treatment sector by sourcing and developing state-of-art technologies.

A few examples would be:

Advanced High Rate Nitrification-Denitrification (with collaboration of Japanese

technology developer)

Use of specially developed fouling resistant RO membranes in wastewater

recycle

Innovative use of Nano-Filtration membranes to minimize the treatment cost and

recovery of product (Product from South Korea)

Forward Osmosis (in co-operation with Aquaporin, Denmark) to optimize the

concentration of wastewater to lower energy input costs.


2.1 History

Goldfinch was started as a partnership company by the name of M/s. Perfect Labs in 1983. The

company was promoted by Mr. Anand Apte who is a qualified Chemical Engineer from Laxminarayan

Institute of Technology (LIT – Batch 1974). The company was converted to M/s Perfect Labs Pvt. Ltd.

in 1988. The company later grew steadily in resources, Services, Volumes & Revenues. The name of

Perfect Labs Pvt. Ltd. was changed to M/s Waste Encare India Pvt. Ltd. (WEIPL) in year 1998 with Mr.

Anand Apte as its Managing Director. The company changed its name to Goldfinch Engineering

Systems Private Limited in the year 2012 for a better Brand building.

Goldfinch’s professional, ethical, technical & flexible approach to troubleshooting & service providing

helped it to win over clients from all sectors of industry.

Goldfinch has spread its wings & network to incorporate a variety of services like Turnkey Projects,

Detail Engineering & Project Management Services, Environmental studies, preparation of EIA report

etc. & Environmental Monitoring. Goldfinch has developed a full- fledged MoEF approved laboratory

& R & D Centre for its Analysis & Research & Development Activities.

Goldfinch since inception has given priority to quality & customer service and is a noted service

2.3 Infrastructure

Over the years Goldfinch has acquired an operational infrastructure which provides a strong base

Human resources are obviously is at the heart of any successful organization. Our dedicated

personnel consist of highly qualified, result-oriented, experienced people. Goldfinch employs

about 26 technical people apart from the administration, accounts and other support staff.

2.3.2 Engineering Office

Goldfinch has a comfortable, centrally located office in Thane. The office is equipped with all

modern amenities and gadgets to complete any design, drafting, and publishing work in-house. In

addition the state-of-art communication system facilitates immediate contact, interactions and

data communication either from field to office or with any client around the globe.


2.3.3 Laboratory

Our well-equipped State of Art laboratory is capable of conducting all major analytical tests on

air, water or solid samples. This laboratory also consists of bench scale equipment to carry out

treatability studies like physical separations, biological oxidation (aerobic and anaerobic),

chlorination, filtration, evaporation etc. to evaluate the design parameters.

Laboratory also possesses small pilot plants which can be transported to field to corroborate the

suitability of selected treatment scheme and design parameters before executing the full scale

plant.


2.3.4 In-house Own Manufacturing Facility

Our state of art manufacturing facility is well equipped to manufacture a range of equipment.

Pressure Vessels, Heat Exchangers, piping and skid mounted plants etc. The manufacturing facility is

spread over 10000 square feet.

5 PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

1.0 SOLVENT STRIPPER AND MULTIPLE EFFECT EVAPORATOR FOR METROPOLITAN, DOMBIVALI – 40 M3 / DAY

This Multiple Effect Evaporator was designed for treating process effluent which was mix of organics and

high TDS of around 100000 ppm. The total wastewater was 40 m3 / day. The stripper was in place to

remove the low volatile organics and the Evaporator for concentrating the dissolved salts. The

precipitated salts were then centrifuged.


2.0 SOLVENT STRIPPER AND MULTIPLE EFFECT EVAPORATOR FOR MELOG, AMBERNATH – 100 M3 / DAY

This Multiple Effect Evaporator was designed for treating mix of process effluent and RO reject water which was mix of organics and high TDS of around 50000 ppm. The total wastewater was 100 m3 / day. The stripper was in place to remove the low volatile organics and the Evaporator for concentrating the dissolved salts. The precipitated salts were then centrifuged.


3.0 MULTIPLE EFFECT EVAPORATOR FOR CHEMCO, TARAPUR – 25 M3 / DAY

This Multiple Effect Evaporator was designed for treating process effluent which had high TDS of around 100000 ppm. The total wastewater was 25 m3 / day. The Evaporator was for concentrating the dissolved salts. The precipitated salts were then centrifuged.


4.0 ZERO LIQUID DISCHARGE (ZLD) FOR EMERSON, SATARA – 200 M3 / DAY

This plant was designed for achieving Zero liquid discharge for wastewater generated from engineering facility. The effluent was pretreated and then pumped through the Reverse Osmosis system designed for 200 m3 / d. The reject of the RO was then pumped to the Multiple Effect Evaporator. The Evaporator was for concentrating the dissolved salts. The precipitated salts were then centrifuged.


5.0 AGITATED THIN FILM DRYER (ATFD) FOR RUBICON, AMBERNATH – 1 M3 / DAY

This plant was designed for achieving Zero liquid discharge for wastewater generated from formulation unit. The effluent was treated biologically and then pumped through the Reverse Osmosis system designed for 20 m3 / d. The reject of the RO was then pumped to the Agitated Thin Film Dryer (ATFD). The ATFD was for complete drying of the concentrated salt using steam.


6.0 MULTIPLE EEEFECT EVAPORATOR FOR RELIANCE CHEMICAL, NIGERIA – 10 M3 / DAY

This Multiple Effect Evaporator was designed for treating process effluent which was generated from the

sulphonation plant. The total wastewater was 10 m3 / day. The Evaporator was for concentrating the

dissolved salts. The precipitated salts were then centrifuged.


7.0 ETP for PZ CUZZONS, IKORUDU, NIGERIA – 400 M3 / DAY

The ETP was designed with two stage aerobic system using state of art aeration technology.


8.0 ETP for LUPIN, TARAPUR, MAHARASHTRA – 1000 M3 / DAY

The ETP was designed with two stage aerobic system using state of art aeration technology.

The outlet water of the ETP is fed to the R.O and then the R.O reject is evaporated to the

achieve Zero Discharge. RO permeate is recycled for process.


9.0 ETP FOR INDOFIL, DAHEJ, GUJARAT – 500 M3 / DAY

This ETP was designed for treating agrochemical waste. The total wastewater was 500 m3 / day. The

bioreactor is operating and working successfully at a TDS of around 70000 ppm.


10.0 ZLD FOR HENKEL, KURKUMBH – 150 M3 / DAY

This ETP was designed for treating wastewater generated from metal coatings effluent. The total wastewater

was 150 m3 / day. The wastewater was first pretreated for the removal of metals and then biodegraded.


11.0 ETP for Parle Biscuits, Bahadurgarh, Haryana – 200 m3 / day

This ETP is designed to treat 200 m3 / day of wastewater. It has anaerobic followed by aerobic

technology. The gas generated from the anaerobic digestor is used as fuel. The treated water

from aerobic system is used for gardening.


11.0 Common Effluent Treatment Plant for M/s. Dombivli Better Environmental Systems

Association.

M/s. Dombivli Better Environmental Systems Association (DBESA) is working for the group of Textile

processing industries in the Dombivli MIDC area. DBESA has installed a full-fledged Common Effluent

Treatment Plant (ETP) to cater the needs of effluent generated from the Textile processing. The CETP is

treating 16000 m3 / day of wastewater to the MPCB standards.


12.0 ZERO DISCHARGE PROJECT FOR KANSAI NEROLAC PAINTS LTD., DAHEJ - 140 KLD

The Zero Discharge project was designed to treat the wastewater from paint manufacturing facility.

The wastewater was biologically treated and then pumped through the reverse Osmosis unit. The

reject of the Reverse Osmosis unit was then pumped to the Multiple Effect Evaporator for

concentrating the dissolved salts. The precipitated salts were then centrifuged.


6.0 IN-HOUSE PILOT PLANT FACILITY FORWORD OSMOSIS

NANO-FILTRATION PLANT

The pilot plant facilities are for carrying out various studies on wastewater for process

optimization and innovative solutions.
