As I look at the description of the job Kay is applying for -Senior Manager, Patient Advocacy- I am immediately struck by the experience, strengths, commitment, and passion that Kay would bring to this position. I have known Kay for close to 14 years, dating back to when we both worked for GlaxoSmithKline. Kay was always the consummate advocate for our customers, patients looking for hope through the development of breakthrough therapies. In a corporate environment, she was a voice of reason, reminding people of our mission, to deliver transformative drugs in a compassionate way, and to make sure that people who needed our drugs, had access to them. In her official capacity, she managed a regional salesforce. Kay was not only respected by her colleagues and those who worked for her, but was well liked. I don’t know a single person who would have anything bad to say about Kay. She is fair, listens to and respects the opinions of others even if they differ from her own. She is concerned about the well-being of her colleagues, and she is moral and ethical. The job description talks about the need to clearly communicate global initiatives, and interact with patient advocacy group. Kay has successfully done that her entire career both at GKS and her positions afterwards. The job calls for someone who has a friendly and collegial- you couldn’t find anyone more amicable and collegial than Kay. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a job description that is so well suited for an individual’s experience, skillset, and personality.

April 22, 2015 To Whom It May Concern, It is my great pleasure to serve as a reference for Kay Zwan. I’ll make one other comment about Kay. Her commitment to patient advocacy comes from the heart and through personal experience. When she interacts with patient advocacy groups, she knows what they are feeling from a visceral level. She’s been there. Her passion is not superficial, but rather driven from a deep seated desire to improve the lives of others. There is no question in my mind that Kay will become one of the best assets .. could ever hope to have. I can think of no one better than Kay to represent your company to the advocacy community. I recommend Kay without any reservation for this position. In my opinion, you’ve found your
