Here's an answer if you want it:On August 17 the School Board approved two Teach for America (TFA) candidates to teach at Aki Kurose; on September 21st theBoard approved a third candidate for Aki Kurose. All three TFA candidates went through our regular hiring process, which includesan application, interviews by the school-based hiring team, and reference checks. Idid not specifically ask for TFA candidates--allTFA candidates were welcome to apply at Aki Kurose, just as they were at all other schools. Through the school-based hiring processthe hiring team identified these three candidates as the best fit for the positions we had open at Aki Kurose.Im very excited to have these teachers in my school, and Ieel that they will be great educators as well as role models for ourstudents.

If we are going to hire any TFA candidates then I'll need to update the Board Action Report for the conditional certificates.Peter Maier also made a request for info to be included during the last Board meeting.
