Beating the Bounds - Overseal
At the Heart of The National Forest, Overseal’s landscape has changed over the last twenty years. Walk along woodland rides, field paths and a reinstated towpath to discover stories of heritage and biodiversity developments. Meet at National Forest Youth Hostel, 48 Bath Lane, Moira, DE12 6BD (Nearest car park National Forest Youth Hostel No dogs. 6.75 miles, 7 stiles. Join our annual pilgrimage to the nearby 'hidden'
bluebell wood. Bring your camera! Please note that
there are a few stiles en route.

Friday 20th May 11am Melbourne to Breedon Church Circular A lovely walk through parkland and over a golf course to Breedon Priory. Back via Wilson, the Sustrans trail and Jawbone Lane.
Spend some time before or after the walk in a local café or pub in order to support Melbourne as a
“Walkers are Welcome Town” .

The changing face of the High Street looking at the rooflines and original features and how they have changed over the past 100 years. 2-4pm. A pleasant circular walk with some ascent
linking Hartshorne village with Carver's Rocks
via the Dams and Daniel Hayes. We return along
the National Forest Way. Wide ranging views
and much of natural history interest.

around Hilton’s open water pools and grasslands
which form a wonderful nature reserve in the old
gravel pits.
