Recently we have been brainstorming, and busy planning new projects and ideas for our classes and events. We are looking forward to what is to come! There are so many new projects to inspire and to expand our creative knowledge. We can’t wait to share it with you!

Fabric keeps arriving and we are getting excited! We have so many new items in the shop, you will want to come check out all the great fabric and kits that just arrived. Some gorgeous kits we just received are named “Sew into It” from Hoffman. They contain precisely cut pieces, already backed with fusible web, and ready to machine applique. Supernova Spiral is one of their kits LuAnn will be teaching. It is invisible machine applique that makes a really impressive quilt in a lot less time. Brand new is the Agate kit, a wall hanging made from the beautiful Serenity fabric line. Join the class that everyone is raving about. The Square Tuffet makes a great conversations piece for anyone.

We have been having so much fun in class! Grab your friends and join us. Pick out some new fabric pre-cuts to make these great looking new patterns, Stripping in Paradise, 18 Carat and Charm Squared. The Pineapple Star is a great looking quilt made from layer cakes. Brush up on some basic quilting methods with Binding Basics class. Spicy Spiral is a fun little swirl of color made into a runner for any season.

We have scheduled fun and new techniques for you to try. Orange Blossom is a great new addictive method of piecing orange peel blocks without pinning. A new and clever way to make hexagons by folding fabric is Fast-Fold Hexies. The Christmas Trees are a fun way to make trees for your table that are constructed from batting lined fabric strips. We found ourselves wondering, “How do they come up with these great new ideas?”

Start on your holiday sewing by joining us for a week starting July 20th for Christmas in July. Sign up for class, and learn why using the right tools makes quilting a breeze. One Fabric Kaleidoscope is a beautiful quilt made from just one designer fabric. Strip Tube Tannenbaum is made from the popular Strip Tube ruler and Stocking Sweet Stocking, a scrappy and cute set of stockings made from the Twister tool. Another great Twister class is the new pattern Twister Waves. The twisted blocks are made separately, and it goes together quickly.

Mark your calendar for these two great retreats. Quilting with the Masters, where we will have 3 National Teachers teaching their specialized techniques in embroidery, paper piecing and curved ruler piecing. It will be a fun packed 4 day Retreat, August 9th-12th! The following month, two days of sewing, friendship and good times will be on September 22nd & 23rd for our annual Fall Frenzy Fat Quarter Retreat.

Country Traditions Class Policies: Reservations are required for all classes, clubs & events. PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION TO HOLD YOUR PLACE IN CLASS. Complete class supply lists will be given when you register for the class. Classes require three or more students for the class to be held. If the class is canceled by Country Traditions due to low enrollment, your class fee will be refunded. If the class is postponed due to weather the class will be rescheduled. So that we may commit to our teachers, sorry, there is NO refund if you cancel. Please check class dates and your own calendar carefully before registering. If an emergency occurs, you can send a friend in your place. A sewing machine is required for most classes, you are welcome to reserve our Classroom Models, please arrive early for class so we can review how it works with you. Due to copyright laws, if the class requires a pattern or book, each student is required to purchase one. Samples of class projects are on display at the store. Students are encouraged to purchase their class project supplies from Country Traditions.
