VISIT OUR BLUFFTON OFFICE!Last March we opened a satellite office located at 900 N Main St. #B Bluffton. We share the office with Dr. Jason Simpson the local chiropractor. This office is open on Wednesday’s from 9am-4pm. At the Bluffton location, we can do the same things at this office as the Findlay location except for flushing ears. It is also fully stocked with all supplies. We have really enjoyed making new friends and becoming part of the community. If you live in or close to Bluffton you are welcome to make your appointments in either office.
A NOTE FROM JODI:In the spring of 2016 Starkey released a new product called the Muse, which many of you have upgraded to. I was thrilled all year with the way the technology had increased speech understanding, while also improving the durability & flexibility of the product. This year I attended the Starkey Hearing Expo. I was very surprised to find that they really didn’t come out with a new product line, but instead added features to the current Muse line. They increased the speed of the processing by 5 times, integrated the Bluetooth for streaming your cell phone or music, and the most exciting, is the opportunity to make the aids rechargeable. I look forward to working with this improved technology and those of you interested in trying it out. I truly enjoy helping you with your hearing needs, and thank you for choosing us. It is important this May to get in and let us download your new firmware version into your hearing aids!!
Beyond the new technology, the office was busy this winter with the last of the remodel project. We have updated our lab at the Findlay location. This allows us to have three working stations and two computer areas which will allow for quicker and more efficient space for all of us. We also started a new division; “Safe with Sound Industrial Hearing Services” this division is designed to educate people on hearing safety, giving hearing test on-site for industrial companies, and offering better hearing protection where needed. I am really excited about this adventure, my hope is to make the surrounding communities aware of the damage that loud noise exposure creates and long term effects. Just maybe, we can help prevent noise induced hearing losses.
As for my family…. my daughters saved their babysitting money all summer, and purchased their first feeder calves for fair. Most nights they sit in the stable and do their homework with the calves so they all get comfortable with each other. My chickens are laying about 12 eggs a day, so I have become very efficient in using eggs in most of my meals. My husband has spent his winter cleaning and waxing his tractors so he is ready for Spring farming. We are a busy family and I try every day to just take in the moments we have. I look forward to seeing you in the near future and as always, your referrals are the greatest compliment you can give us!

A NOTE FROM MANDY:Hi everyone, I hope everyone is having a great year so far. My life has
been pretty amazing this past year and is continuing into this year!
My son Dominic is now 7 and is playing so many sports. It’s so fun
watching him play and seeing how much his skills improve every
year. He is the sweetest boy ever! My little Bristol is almost 5 and is
her same cute, spunky self. She’s our little sassy pants but can be
pretty sweet just like her brother. It really is true when everyone tells
you to enjoy them while they
are little because time goes
faster than what you think and that’s so very true!
As I was saying, this year is also continuing to be a great year for my family and
I. My fiancé and I are getting married at the end of the year and we are expecting
and baby GIRL due this June! Big brother and sister are thrilled. Last October
we bought a new house and have been renovating ever since. It’s such a long
process but it will be worth it in the end.
I am really looking forward to the many
other adventures 2017 has in store for all
of us here at the Hearing Centers’. I enjoy
working with each and every one of you
and can’t wait to serve you again this year!

Daily cleaning and regular service is extremely important for your hearing aid.
Proper care extends the life of your hearing aid and ensures proper hygiene.
• Store your hearing aid in a safe place that’s dry and cool.
• Change the batteries often so they don’t suddenly run out of power.
• Switch off your hearing aid when not using it. If not needed for a long period of
time, remove the battery.
• Clean battery contacts regularly. Use a cotton swab, and don’t bend the
contacts. Dirty battery contacts cause improper device function.
• Remove earwax from your hearing aid to prevent temporary malfunction or
permanent damage. Change filters often so they don’t collect wax or dirt.
• Clean your hearing aid using the small brush or the soft cloth that came with it.
Never insert tools besides those given to you at our office.
• Bring your hearing aids to the Hearing Centers’ to have them cleaned
professionally.

A Note From DanaHi everyone, this last year flew by. I received my state
license late last year. I have enjoyed working with
everyone and getting to know all the new faces. I spent
the majority of last summer camping with my family.
My boys have grown so much in the last year it’s hard
to keep up with them. Joee will be turning 13 this year,
Max is 4 and Thatcher just turned 3. All of them are
in school now, which was a little hard at first but they
all like school so I have adjusted. We finished the
remolding that we have been working on inside my
house, which a great feeling was considering that we
have been working on it for about 5 years now. I look
forward to continuing to meet new people and
getting to know everyone in the next year.
If there is anything I can do to help you let
me know. My hope is that our relationship
will continue to grow and develop.
