Nowadays, in multicultural Europe, we have to combat racism and xenophobia and at thesame time boost the self-esteem of all children. Through this project we tackle theaforementioned issues by skipping the barriers of the different mother tongues of the pupils that participate by cross-curricular common projects incorporating Languages, ICT, Art, Music, History, Religion and Geography. In this way, the children improve their research, communication and presentation skills and realize the common mutual tradition with the other European partners.Our theme is stories (legends, myths, fairytales, poems) with which pupils are familiar from a very early age.The activities are structured to accommodate pupils of all ages, abilities, multipleintelligences and ethnic backgrounds. This happens through various narrating and creative writing techniques:- Reading listening and narrating stories;- Producing new versions;- Dramatizing;- Creating poems.The common activities and final products of the second year (2015-2016) included:-Two transnational meetings in Turkey (October, 2015) and in Lithuania (May, 2016).-Two teaching/learning activity in Spain (March, 2016) and in Greece (June, 2016) for students and teachers of all countries.-Interaction among children and teachers through our common blog, the twinspace platform, emails,cards, letters, drawings, handicrafts.-Two common magazines (autumn stories and spring stories).Public link to TwinSpace: http://new-twinspace.etwinning.net/web/p103199 - Looking, creating and exchanging pictures, drawings and works of art inspired by these stories;

Strange adventureOnce upon a time there was a girl. She was friendly, caring and had a dream to become an explorer. No one believied in her dream, just laughed. After some time she has forgotten her dream. When she grew up she left her home and decided to travel to Europe. When she was travelling in Italy she met a strange boy. His clothes were made of floral paper, he was wearing wooden shoes and a hat of bread. -Hi, my name is Pinocchio and your's Dora, right? – he asked. She didn't tell anything, just looked at him.- I need your help. I have lost my dad somewhere in Europe. Can you help me to find him? – Pinocchio asked. He didn't let her to say anything, just grabbed her hand and pushed her into hot-airballoon. First three days were full of silence. Dora was just looking at the cities and towers. They looked so small. They were travelling for six months and during this time they became the best friends. Pinocchio lost his hope to find his dad.

- Maybe he is in Hawaii.- Dora said. She was trying to cheer up her friend.- He hates Hawaii. – Pinocchio answered and started to cry.One day they reached Lithuania and met a stork. They explained to the stork why they were travelling. Stork listened carefully and told that a strange man came here six months before. And he couldn't remember anything. They all went to this man. Luckily it was Pinocchio's dad. They were so happy to see each other.Next day Pinocchio found Dora laying on the grass and looking into the sky. - I know you had a dream to become an explorer. You wanted to see towers, seas, different countries and cultures. Also you wanted to travel to Paris on March. You shouldn't let other people to break you dream. You need to be yourself because only then you can do anything. – he told and dissapeared.

Keistas nuotykis

Dora, tiesa? - jis paklausė.Ji neatsakė nieko, tik pažvelgė į jį.- Man reikia tavo pagalbos. Aš pamečiau savo tėtį kažkur Europoje. Ar gali padėti man jį surasti?

The Spring Flower

Long, long ago there was an Empire in China.

In this Empire, there was a particular prisoner, a Selfish Giant who had stolen the Biggest Flower on Earth.

Since that day, Spring vanished.

The Empire was devastated. People did not leave their homes, there was not a single flower in the gardens, the birds flew to Africa and the Emperor got ill.

And why did this happen?

Because it was the Biggest Flower on Earth that had the power to change seasons, and its favourite season was Spring.

One day, the Emperor entrusted a little boy (who used to take care of his gardens) with a special mission: to recover the lost flower. So, the boy decided to venture himself into the forest.

He found a nightingale who told him: - Take as many steps as the leaves in that tree; you will find a labyrinth. Once there, you will find an elf who will give you the second of two clews; after this, you will find The Biggest Flower on Earth.

The boy got into his way. He took 100 steps and, while the hundredth step, he trod a mushroom and the labyrinth suddenly appeared.

One hundred steps after, he found an elf who told him: - After you find the labyrinth way out, you will see the cave where the Selfish Giant has hidden the Flower.

As he was very clever, he thought that he had to take one hundred steps more to find the cave. And after 100 steps more, he really did find it.

Gathering all his courage, he entered the cave and found the Biggest Flower on Earth, faded, fallen and sad.

When he saw it, he couldn't resist crying and a tear drop fell over the flower. At that moment, the flower was born again.

Suddenly, the sun started to shine, the flowers blossomed, the birds returned from Africa and since then the Empire prospered.

Nesse momento, a flor ganhou vida.

ITALYITALYTHE JOURNEY OF

PINOCCHIOOne spring day, Pinocchio was hit by a stone. A note was attached on it: “Only you can save the spring. Find the flower that will make the tree of peace and happiness grow in Europe. You will find the tree if you find stamps in seven European countries.”A frightened Pinocchio asked his friend, the stork, for help. He left with her. They arrived in Mariano Comense. On the roof of the school something sparkled: it was a stamp. They picked it up and departed for Spain. In Valladolid, on the head of a statue in Plaza Mayor, they saw a beautiful stamp with the image of a castle. They picked it up and flew to Portugal. The third stamp was in Montemor-o-Novo on the bell tower of a white church. From here ……… to Turkey, by consulting a map because they did not know where it was.In Nevsehir they bought some kebab to eat. Something stuck to Pinocchio shoes: it was a stamp with a hot air balloon. They picked it up and took off again for Greece. On the White Tower in Thessaloniki, they found the fifth stamp

with the image of the myth of Europe. They flew to Bulgaria. In Sofia on the door of Nevsky cathedral, they saw a beautiful stamp with a flowering tree.Only the last stamp was missing. It was in Lithuania in Lygumay. Here Pinocchio saw it in a park: it showed a stork identical to the one which had accompanied him.Now they had all the stamps!A Cat and a Fox emerged from a bush. Pinocchio gave them the stamps. They gave him a wilted flower. Pinocchio began to cry in despair, but his tears revived the flower and the next day it became a beautiful flowering tree: it spread happiness and peace all over Europe.

Arrivarono a Mariano Comense. Mancava l'ultimo. Era in Lituania a Pakruojis.

Ora avevano tutti i francobolli!!!

The glow“Good night, mum.”Carrie´s mother closed the door. It was the 2nd of March and the next day, her birthday. She fell into a deep sleep. Something woke her up. There was a glow and an envelope in the wardrobe. Inside the envelope there was a Bulgarian stamp and a letter. She read its contents: “Your friends have disappeared. If you want them to return for your

birthday party, you will have to collect seven stamps and pass a series of tests. Each time you get a new stamp you will be taken to another country. But be careful because if the magic disappears, you won´t be able to return home. "She decided to undertake the challenge and she went through the wardrobe. She arrived at Bulgaria. A beautiful girl gave her a red and white bracelet and told Carrie: - “If you know the name of the National festival, you will receive another stamp”.- “Of course: Baba Martha”. In the background she saw the glow. She touched it and … Greece, she was in the Temple of Zeus where the Olympic Games were being celebrated. A herald announced the name of the winner, Carrie. Then, a judge placed a stamp in her hand and a very bright crown made of an olive branch on her head.Suddenly, she was in Italy in a big circus. There was a light surrounded by lions. Carrie was coming near but the lions didn´t attack her.- “Who is capable of taming my lions?” The Emperor said.- “It is me, Carrie”.” I need to touch the glow to return my home”.- “Ok, but first you must tell me my favorite tale, Pinocchio”. Carrie sat down and told him the tale.- “Thanks a lot”. “Now you can go back, here is your stamp” This time she was in Lithuania, in a field full of tulips. She saw a stork. The glow was on its leg. She caught it.“Come with me, please”. The stork was in love with Aspid (a big snake) and wanted to marry him. The stamp was inside the wedding cake She touched the cake and a new world appeared. there was a mixture of smells. She was in Turkey. In the stamp there was a picture of a big balloon. It was her dream. she was flying over Cappadocia. Passing along the” Fairy chimneys” she could see another glow and another stamp. There was a note:- “You are so brave that you will go directly to Portugal.”This time she was in Barcelos, Portugal. There were brightly roosters everywhere. “it is one of the national symbols”, the girl thought. She was touching a rooster when a voice whispered to her: “If you visit Portugal you can´t return home without one”. She bought one. The rooster´s magic took her to a castle where a tournament was being celebrated. Carrie was wearing an amour, a helmet and a bright lance. When she was climbing onto her white horse, she fell down. She opened her eyes and all her Friends, dress up as Medieval Times, were ready to celebrate a birthday Party, her party. It had been an awesome adventure dream (and many more to come).

Llegó a Bulgaria.

BULGARIABULGARIASPRING

Hello! As you are here, I will ask you some things. Have you seen something more beautiful than spring? I haven't. And do you know the Spring Holidays? Let's revise them! Baba Marta, Palm Sunday, Easter.Let's go back in time with my time machine and find out how those holidays came to be. Let's take the rest of the children too. - Come on, children, let's go!- What, adventures again?- Yes.- We are coming!- Which holiday comes first?- Christmas.- Oh, no, it's a winter holiday. Then the smallest child offered:- Let's visit Baba Marta first, on 1st March.

- Sure, let's go!Off we went. We got to a house and we knocked on its door. - Just a moment! Can you hear that? - I approached the door.- Yes.We overheard a conversation between Pijo and Penda. Penda didn't want Pijo to go to war, but he was very stubborn, so he went anyway. Before he left, she asked him to take a white string and put it on a swallow's leg. He did that and the war ended. There was blood on the string after that and that is why we put on red and white bracelets on Baba Marta. - OK, children, let's go to Easter. Then we went to Easter and we saw Jesus Christ on the cross. Then a hen laid out a red egg. That's why we paint eggs on Easter.- And what about Palm Sunday? - asked the children.- Let's go home. Everyone of you will tell how we celebrate Palm Sunday because you all have beautiful names of flowers.

GREECEGREECESearching for Pinocchio

Once upon a time, Europe and Zeus lived in Greece and wanted to have a child. Unfortunately, they couldn't and the magic stork heard them and decided to fulfill their desire. The next day, it brought them a wooden child called Pinocchio. A few years later, in spring, when Pinocchio had grown, he was out in the garden and while he was planting colorful flowers, four huge birds grabbed him. When Europe and Zeus realized that Pinocchio was missing, they rushed to find him. On their way, they met an explorer and ask him if he had seen Pinocchio. He told them that he saw him with 4 birds going to the castle “La Giralda” in Spain. He also gave them a pouch with useful things, like a rope, food, a bottle of Porto wine, and a nightingale. So Europe and Zeus flew to the castle on a colorful air-balloon. A few hours later, they arrived, but in front of the gate there was a big, strong bull which guarded the castle. Then, Europe ripped a red piece of the hot-air-balloon and shook it in front of it. The bull was so irritated that it ran away! So, Zeus and

Europe got into the castle. They were walking to the dark corridors when they met two Cyclopes who were listening to loud music. Europe took the nightingale out of the pouch, to chirp and distract the giants. Unfortunately, she put to sleep only one of the giants. Then, Zeus took out the Porto wine and he gave it to the other giant to distract him, and so he did. Zeus and Europe continued searching Pinocchio. Suddenly, in front of them they saw a big door, they opened it and saw Pinocchio. They took him quickly and they left from the castle. When they arrived at home they celebrated with a feast.

TURKEYTURKEYADVENTURE OF DEFNE

It is a day from March. Defne, her classmates and teacher met in school for a trip to Nevsehir, Cappadocia. They departed for Nevsehir. While they were going, they saw a drove of storks. They loved their flight style. Eventually they arrived to Cappadocia. They travelled to historic towers and caves. They saw some interesting script on the walls of the caves. Then they saw a colorful hot air balloon. They went to them by running, and they said to their teacher they wanted to take on it. Their teacher accepted it by saying:

- We may take on together. They became happy to hear that and took on the available balloon. When they had a lot of fun, they saw a fallen balloon. There were Pinocchio and a little girl.
