As he and his disciples and a large crowd were leaving Jericho, Bartimaeus son of Timaeus, a blind beggar, was sitting by the roadside. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 48 Many sternly ordered him to be quiet, but he cried out even more loudly, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” 49 Jesus stood still and said, “Call him here.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart; get up, he is calling you.” 50 So throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. 51 Then Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “My teacher, let me see again.” 52 Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way. ALTAR FLOWERS today are placed by Carolyn Reid in loving memory of Alberta & Virgil Gray, Virginia & George Reid, and Marilyn Thompson Gray. SPECIAL MUSIC provided by our Children’s Choir today is dedicated to all their dads and to Mr. John (aka John Hanson).

CADES COVE EXCURSION is planned for Thursday, October 29th. This is an opportunity for us to enjoy the fall colors and fellowship with each other. The group will leave at 9:00 a.m. and plan on “Dutch Treat” for the meals.

Please sign up (Sign up sheet is on the Bulletin Board), or call the church office (365-6324) if you are interested in going on this outing. CUPCAKES NEEDED FOR HALLOWEEN: We need cupcakes to give out on Saturday, October 31. Please call the church office, if you’d like to bake and donate cupcakes for our Halloween Party. Thank you for helping us make a fun and safe Halloween for our children. TRUNK OR TREATING on October 31st. Would you like to participate in the Trunk or Treating on Saturday, October 31st? We need more participants in Trunk or Treating this Saturday to help make the Halloween fun and safe for our children. Come out and enjoy interacting with our kids and fellowship with other grown ups!
