Virginia Woolf said, “Language is wine upon the lips.” Here at Kempinski Hotel Bahía, our Chief Sommelier Ana will do the talking with our Grand Master Wine menu with over 300 labels, which will surprise even the most discerning connoisseur.

Contamos con pistas de tenis, con el mismo pavimento que las del Open de Australia. En los jardines podrá jugar al tenis de mesa o al ajedrez en un tablero a tamaño real. Además, podrá practicar fútbol o voleibol en la playa, previa petición.

Explore las montañas de Andalucía en bicicleta o a caballo, en Jeep o en quad. ¿Por qué no montar en globo, por ejemplo? A menudo, la mejor manera de conocer la costa andaluza es desde el mar. Sports nourish your body and mind and there’s no shortage of sporting activities for you to enjoy at your leisure in and around Kempinski Hotel Bahía. Play tennis on our outdoor court, which has the same surface as the courts at the Australian open. In the gardens, you will also find table tennis and a life-size chessboard.

Explore the Andalusian countryside by bike, horse-back, buggy, quad or jeep safari. Try some canyoning, or take to the air in a hot-air balloon. Often, the best way to enjoy the majestic beauty of the Andalusian coastline is from the sea. Sail on a racing yacht, or opt for some deep-sea fishing. No se pierda nuestro Classic Champagne Carvery Jazz Brunch, donde el champán es uno de los protagonistas. Además, podrá disfrutar de la mejor comida y de la música en directo de la banda de jazz Blackbird Jazz Band. De marzo a junio, los domingos son un día especial para pasar en familia. Si tiene algo especial que celebrar, como un cumpleaños o un aniversario, el Jazz Brunch es el lugar perfecto. Debido a su popularidad, le recomendamos que reserve con antelación. El precio por persona, que incluye champán, refrescos y agua, es de 100 €. El precio por persona sin bebidas alcohólicas pero con refrescos es de 85 €, y el precio por niño es de 55 €. Los niños menores de 12 años podrán disfrutar de las actividades de animación. Los precios no incluyen el IVA (10 %).

En abril, los brunch se celebrarán el domingo 5 (domingo de Resurrección) y el domingo 26.

Hosted on Sundays at La Cabaña del Mar, join us for our wonderful, freeflow Classic Champagne Carvery Jazz Brunch with the six piece band Blackbird Jazz Band. From March to June, we will make Sundays a special day for the whole family. Have a special event to celebrate? Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or family celebration, the Jazz Brunch is the perfect place. Due to popularity we recommend that you reserve in advance. Price per person, including Champagne plus soft drinks & water is 100€. Price per person without alcohol is 85€ and includes soft drinks. Price per child is 55€. Children under 12 can join the children’s entertainment team for an afternoon of fun and games. Prices do not include VAT @10%.

Mini Club | Kids’ Club

Relájese, nosotros haremos el resto. Cuidaremos de sus hijos durante el día (niños de entre 4 y 12 años de edad). Nuestro equipo de animación, formado por dedicados profesionales, proporcionará a sus hijos horas y horas de entretenimiento. En Semana Santa, el Mini Club abrirá de 11:00 a 17:00. Para entonces, contaremos con una interminable lista de actividades, desde artesanía para niños hasta pintura de huevos de Pascua. ¿Por qué no dejar a sus hijos en el Mini Club mientras usted disfruta del spa o juega al golf?

Relax and let us do the rest. We take care of all children (aged between 4-12-years-old) throughout the day. Our professional and dedicated Kid´s Club staff provide endless hours of entertainment. Our Kids Club will be open during Easter from 11:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs, and we will have a great list of activities from arts and crafts to baseball and Easter egg painting. So why not drop the kids off and allow yourselves some extra ‘me’ time at the spa, or on the golf course?

El Mirador, our breakfast restaurant, offers more than 100 varieties of international and local specialities selected by Kempinski. The sumptuous breakfast includes hot and cold dishes, a wide selection of breads, cold cuts and cheese, fresh fruit and homemade pastries. Try our Egg Station for eggs, just as you like them! Also look out for the ‘good for you’ logo on many of our dishes; this indicates healthy eating products. For our little guests, we have a kids’ corner with cereals, milkshakes, fresh fruit and pancakes, all served at mini self-service height!

Enjoy breakfast indoors or on the terrace under the morning sun: the choice is yours. Price: 18€ plus VAT and 10€ plus VAT for children.

We have selected the best cuts of Spanish meats for you from Galicia to Andalusia, including Spanish-style Japanese beef from Burgos. The quality of our food speaks for itself in the way it is simply served, allowing the flavours to stand out.

Enhance your dining experience by asking our Chief Sommelier Ana to recommend her ‘Vinos de Autor’, or ‘Signature Wines’, which will complete your dining experience. Ana has spent a great deal of time researching and locating ‘Vinos de Autor’, and can recreate an exciting map of Spain with her chosen collection.

The Alminar Wine and Steak house is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, La Cabaña del Mar remains open for guests to enjoy. During the month of May the Alminar Wine and Steak House will be closed for annual leave.

LA VEnTRESCA

El plato insignia del Kempinski Hotel Bahía es la ventresca, también conocida como el «cerdo ibérico del mar», que se pesca diariamente en la bahía de Cádiz. El atún recién pescado se sirve a la plancha con sandía osmotizada a la menta, ciruelas salteadas con nueces de Macadamia y pil-pil de albahaca.

Si disfruta con el buen pescado, no deje pasar la oportunidad de saborear este exquisito plato.

Kempinski Hotel Bahía’s signature dish La Ventresca is well known as the Ibérico pork of the sea and is freshly caught in Cádiz Bay. The tuna belly is grilled and served with ice-cold, minted watermelon, sautéed plums and macadamia nuts with basil pil-pil.

Nuestro postre insignia para el 2015 es el Bizco-Choco. Una mezcla de chocolate, pastel de zanahoria y helado de almendra. Esta sublime creación combina la suavidad del chocolate con la dulzura del pastel de zanahoria y la frescura del helado de almendra, con unas pinceladas de concentrado de frambuesa. Le garantizamos que nunca ha probado nada igual. Y además no contiene gluten.

Our signature dessert for 2015 is Bizco-Choco, a blend of chocolate, carrot cake and almond ice cream. It creates a divine combination of velvet smooth chocolate with a light, sweet carrot cake and the cooling taste of almond ice cream, all topped off with a dash of raspberry concentrate, all of which is Gluten Free. We can guarantee that you have never had anything like this before.

La Cabaña del Mar es nuestro restaurante al aire libre con vistas al mar. Abierto de marzo a octubre. Su especialidad es el pescado y el marisco de la zona. En marzo volverá a abrir sus puertas tanto para el almuerzo como para la cena. A partir del 23 de marzo, todas las noches excepto los domingos disfrutaremos del mejor jazz en directo de la mano de Edith Jazz. Este año hemos preparado una nueva y deliciosa carta para deleitar a nuestros clientes. De día podrá saborear nuestras apetitosas ensaladas aderezadas con hierbas aromáticas de nuestro huerto. Además, disponemos de una tradicional barca donde preparar tradicionales espetos. La cena tendrá un toque más formal, a tono con la increíble experiencia gastronómica con vistas al mar Mediterráneo.

El Brunch se servirá en Domingos seleccionados en La Cabaña del Mar. Todos son bienvenidos a acompañarnos en el Jazz Brunch o pueden hacer una reserva en el Lobby Lounge para el almuerzo.

Meaning ‘the little cabin by the sea’, La Cabaña is our delightful seaside restaurant. Open from March through October, La Cabaña del Mar specialises in seafood and other fish caught locally. La Cabaña reopens in late March 2015 for both lunch and dinner. As of 23rd March there will be live jazz music performed by Edith Jazz every evening, except Sundays. For 2015 we have a wonderful new menu which will surprise and delight our guests. During the day we will serve light fresh salads dressed with herbs from our own garden. A traditional beachside BBQ will also be available where we cook fish over a hot, open fire ‘a la espeto’, which literally means ‘on a stick’. For the evening, the menu is more suited to a fine dining experience as you watch the sun set over the Mediterranean.

On selected Sundays La Cabaña del Mar will host the Classic Jazz Brunch, guests are welcome to join us for the Jazz Brunch or to make a reservation at the Lobby Lounge for lunch.

Enjoy home cooking just like grandmother made it. That’s why we’ve called it “La Cocina de mi Abuela,” or “My Grandmother’s Kitchen.”

The greatest cooks of all inspired our menu: our chefs own grandmothers! Opening in April, we have created a menu with over 100 different dishes that are popular across Spain. Each evening the chefs will choose eight dishes from this repertoire and cook them using the finest, seasonal ingredients. Your meal is served with wine chosen from the master wine list of 400 wines. Dinner is served each day at 20.00 hrs.

We advise guests to reserve in advance as La Cocina has a limited capacity of 12 diners per evening.

Bocata es nuestro bar de la piscina, donde podrá disfrutar de nuestros deliciosos batidos, zumos y aperitivos ligeros mientras toma el sol. Abierto desde Semana Santa hasta octubre. Bocata is our poolside bar serving you drinks, smoothies, cocktails and snacks all day long while you enjoy the summer sun. Open from Easter to October, we are pleased to announce that this lovely corner of our hotel has a new, lighter summer menu, perfect for those hot days by the pool when a light, traditional Spanish-style snack is all you want. Choose from the menu or make your own combination.

BarsDaily from 9.00 – 24.00 hrs

El Lobby Lounge es el lugar perfecto para quedar con los amigos o simplemente para sentarse y leer un rato mientras disfruta de un delicado té Marriage Fréres. Desde finales de marzo, tendremos la fortuna de contar con nuestro pianista, quien tocará melodías clásicas de martes a sábado, de 19:30 a 22:30. Únase a nosotros, tome una copa de vino y relájese.

Todos los días, podrá disfrutar de nuestra merienda, formada por una rica combinación de tapas y pastas hechas a diario, servidas con té o café y cava.

The Lobby Lounge is the perfect location to meet friends, or simply sit and read a book while enjoying a fresh pot of tea by Marriage Frères. As of the 17th of March the Lobby Bar will be filled with the soothing sounds of piano music by our resident pianist, who will perform classical music from 19.30 hrs to 22.30 hrs Tuesday to Saturday night. So, join us for a glass of wine, watch the sun go down and relax.

Every day you can enjoy afternoon tea with a twist; a delightful assortment of savoury and sweet bite-sized tapas, otherwise known as ‘La Merienda’ in Andalusia, served with tea or coffee and a glass of cava. The tapas and pastries are made fresh daily. This delightful tradition is the perfect way to catch up with friends and enjoy a light snack.

THE GOLFER

The Golfer is our Kempinski signature cocktail, created by our chief barman and served at the Lobby Bar. It is a refreshing vodka cocktail that highlights local aromas and brings together flavours such as spearmint and green melon, topped with lemon sorbet. This drink is ideal for relaxing after a game at one of the local golf courses.

NUESTRO VINO - ORGULLOSO

Esta primavera tenemos el placer de presentar un nuevo vino, especialmente embotellado para el Kempinski Hotel Bahía. Se trata de Orgulloso, llamado así en honor a la estatua de toro que se encuentra en la entrada del hotel. Este suculento vino proviene de la Finca los Frutales de Joaquín Fernández. Es totalmente orgánico y rebosa carácter y vida. Elaborado con la variedad de uvas de Syrah y Merlot y envejecido 12 meses en barrica de roble.

OUR WINE - ORGULLOSO

This spring we will introduce our guests to a new wine elaborated and bottled exclusively for Kempinski Hotel Bahía. This wine, called Orgulloso, was named in honour of our bull Orgulloso, who stands proudly, as his name suggests, in our lobby. Hailing from the Sierra de Ronda and the Finca Frutales of Joaquin Fernamdez, this organic wine is full of character and life, made from Syrah and Merlot grape varieties and aged for 12 months in French oak barrels.

El Oro de los Romanos | Gold of the Romans

ACEITE DE OLIVA DE MONDA

Monda es un tradicional pueblo blanco rodeado de los olivos y montañas que se encuentran detrás de Marbella. El Kempinski Hotel Bahía mantiene una relación especial con un importante productor de aceite de oliva de la zona, Mudéjar Mill, quien nos suministra el aceite que nuestros clientes pueden degustar en nuestros restaurantes. Este aceite de oliva único procede de la recolección de noviembre 2015. Aún hoy en día se le conoce como el «oro de los romanos», y se elabora con la aceituna acebuchina, premiada por su sabor y propiedades. Sin duda alguna, disfrutamos contribuyendo al desarrollo local por un lado y, por otro, ofreciendo siempre la mejor calidad a nuestros huéspedes.

OLIVE OIL FROM MONDA

Monda is a traditional white village surrounded by olive trees and nestled in the mountains behind Marbella. Kempinski Hotel Bahía has a very special connection to one particular producer of olive oil from this area; the Mudéjar Mill, from which we purchase the olive oil that you will see in our restaurants. This very special olive oil is made from a batch that we pressed in November 2014. Today it is still described as the ‘Gold of the Romans’ and is made from the very rare Acebuchina olives, prized for the quality of their oil, taste and properties. As part of bringing quality, local produce to our restaurant tables for our guests, we enjoy making sure that we choose the finest products available, whilst working with our local community.

The Thémaé exclusive range of spa products is based on an ancient Chinese Buddhist tale and celebrates the healing power of tea. It is named after the Japanese tea preparation ceremony. The gym is open 24-hours-a-day for our residents and features the latest in fitness equipment and accessories from Technogym, the world leader in wellness equipment, including the unique Kinesis Wall.

Sauna, Steam Room & Swimming Pool

Our guests can also enjoy the health benefits of our spacious Finnish sauna and steam room. The relaxation area features an ice fountain. Guests can also take a dip in the indoor swimming pool, which is kept at a temperature of 26°C (78.8°F).

MEMBERSHIPS & DAY PASSES

The Kempinski Spa & Fitness Centre has a number of memberships available for purchase, thus opening up our superb facilities to those who live in the immediate surrounding area. These memberships entitle you to use of the gym, indoor pool, sauna, steam room and relaxation area. Members also receive discounts on all treatments at the spa, including purchase of products. Membership also includes discounts at the hotel’s restaurants. The cost of membership is from 1,000€ plus VAT.

DAY PASSES

If you prefer a more flexible option than Spa & Fitness Centre membership, you can now purchase a Day Pass book with ten vouchers. He draws inspiration from his life experience, memories and dreams, and works primarily with paint, clay and bronze, creating beautiful and brave sculptures. His non-conformity to shape and style has encouraged him to constantly experiment with various forms of expression.

You can enjoy Pedrin’s wonderful pieces of art by visiting his new, permanent gallery located at Kempinsk Hotel Bahía. This beautiful space is filled with bulls, equines, paintings and figurines. All pieces are available for purchase.
