Dogs love to go for car rides. For many dogs, their favorite words are “bye-bye”. I’ve seen dogs jump, prance, smile and bark with delight at the thought of a car ride. How many times have you seen dogs hanging out the car window? Or on the owners lap looking as happy as can be? Yes, going for a ride in the car can be fun, but driving with dogs can also be very dangerous to both you and your dog. I recently talked to some owners that were in an accident – caused by their dog – in which they were injure

OUR MARCH and APRIL FUNDRAISERs

We held a fund-raiser on March 31 at Tractor Supply in Oak Ridge. They were having their DEMO DAYS & asked if we would like to sell hot dogs. It was a great time, the weather held out until just

around time to shut down. We had a couple of students help us out - Eric Blackwell and Taylor Singleton. They seemed to have a wonderful time. As you can see from the pictures, we had a great set-up!We held a fundraiser at WaterWorks Pool & Spa on Satur-day, April 14. We had a couple of volunteers through Water-Works that baked brownies for us to sell. We sold Hot Dogs, Chips & Drinks, and our T-Shirts. S.N.A.C.K. our mascot showed up a couple of times and waved to all the passing cars and shook hands with the children. The Manager from Jackson Hewitt offered his services for wearing our S.N.A.C.K. costume. Linda Day with Direct Ins. gave us several koozie cups to give out with our drinks.

Taylor helped us again serving the hot dogs & drinks. We all had a great time.
