AstheMillfieldChessCaptain,AlexGouldhasbothhelpedtheteamexcel,reachingtheQuarterFinalsoftheNationalChampionships,andplayedanimportantroleindevelopinglinkswithinthelocalcommunity.TheskillsdevelopedinchesshavenodoubthelpedhimsecureaplaceatCambridgeUniversity.
2EliteperformanceEliteperformershavepersonalisedprogrammesofstudy.ThiswillincludeindividuallessonswithourresidentGrandmaster,MatthewTurner.Theyreceivesupportateventsandusethelatesttechnologytoevaluateanddeveloptheirgame.
CosimaKeenhasrepresentedEnglandattheWorldChampionshipsinBrazilandwillthisyearplaymajortournamentsinMontenegroandtheUAE.AnindividualprogrammeofstudyatMillfieldallowsCosimatocombinethiswithafullacademicprogramme,studyingtwoinstruments,ridingandrepresentingMillfieldatskiing.
