Assembling and Using your Walker

1 Unpacking the Product• RemoveeverythingfromtheboxandidentifythepartsusingFigure 1.1.(nottoscale) A: walker, B: tray insert, C: seat, D:twofrontwheelsanddocuments(notshown).• Discardallpackagingmaterialsproperlyincludingplasticcoverings.• DONOTallowchildrentoplaywithanypackagingmaterials.

2 Installing the Front Wheels• Insertthepostofoneofthefrontwheelsintotheholeinoneofthefrontcorners.Pushfirmlyuntilthepostisfullyengaged.See Figure 2.1.

• Repeatthisfortheotherfrontwheel.• Pulloneachwheeltoensureitissecuredinplace. CAUTION:Besurethepostisinsertedfullyintothebase.Thetoplipofthepostshouldbeflushwiththebasehole.Nothingbelowthislipshouldbevisible.

3 Unfolding, Adjusting, and Folding the Walker• Setthewalkeruprightandpulluponthetoppartuntilyouhearaclick.See Figure 3.1.• Thewalkerhasthreeadjustableheightpositionsdependingontheheightofyourchild.Pulluptoclickintoanyofthethreepositions.• Tofoldoradjustthewalker’sheight,locatetherectangularbuttonunderthefrontendofthewalker.See Figure 3.2.• Tofoldoradjusttheheightyoumustturntherectangularbuttoncounter-clockwise90ºandthenpushin.Lowerthewalkertothedesiredheightandthenreleasethebutton.See Figure 3.3.

Keepchildrenawayfromwalkerwhilemakinganyadjustmentstothewalkerheight.

4 Installing the Seat• Identifythefrontoftheseatandthethreeplasticposts.• Startingwiththecenterplasticpost,insertthefrontcenterpostintothefrontcenterholeofthewalker(See Figure 4.1)andpushdownto

lock in place. See Figure 4.2.• Repeatthesestepsfortheothertwoplasticposts.• Next,ontherearoftheseattherearefivestraps.Startingwithoneofthetwostrapsontheoutside,feedthestrapthroughtheslotinthebackofthewalker.See Figure 4.3.

• Makesurethattheplasticclippassesallthewaythroughtheslot,thenturntheplasticclipsothatitisflat.See Figure 4.4.• Repeatthesestepsfortheremainingfourstraps.• Pullonthestrapsandtabstoensuretheyaresecure.• Alwayscheckwalkerheightadjustmenttobesurechild’sfeettouchthefloor.

5 Using the Tray In sertThetrayinsertisremovableanddishwashersafe.Thistrayhasa“ChildResistant”snap.Thisdesignmakesthetrayinsertdifficultforachildtoremove,whilestillbeingeasilyremovedbyanadult.• Toremovethetrayinsert,flexhandlesinward,pushthumbdownontheinneredgeofthetrayand

pull up. See Figure 5.1.• Toattachthetrayinsert,fitthetrayinsertintothetrayuntilbothsidesclickintoplace.

6 Removing the Seat for Washing• Startingwiththefrontoftheseat,liftuponapostandpullout.See Figure 6.1.• Repeatthesestepsfortheother2plasticposts.• Next,ontherearoftheseattherearefivestraps.Startingwithoneofthetwostrapsontheoutside,turntheplasticclipsoitcanbe

pushed through the slot, then pull the strap all the way through the slot. See Figure 6.2.• Repeatthesestepsfortheremainingfourstraps.

EN ES• Removethebacksupportpaddingintheseatbyfindingthezipperlocatednexttothestraps(See Figure 6.3).Openthezipperandremovethepadding.

• Toremovethebacksupportplastic,feedthefivestrapsthroughthefabricandremovetheplasticfrominsidetheseat.• Seatisnowreadyforthewashingmachine.• Lookforthetagontheseatcoveronhowtowashinwashingmachine. NOTE:ONLYtheseatcoverismachinewashable.

7 Reassembling the Seat• Placetheplasticbackintotheseatandfeedthefivestrapsthroughthefiveholes.• Placethebacksupportpaddingbackintotheseatandzipupthezipper.• FollowtheinstructionsinSection4toreinstalltheseatontothewalker.

MaintenanceAllofthefittings,snaps,locks,rivets,andotherhardwareandplasticpartsonthewalkershouldbeinspectedperiodicallytoensurethattheyaresecuredproperlyandnotdamagedormalfunctioning.Thestrapsandfabricitemsandtheirstitchingshouldalsobeinspectedperiodicallytoensurethattheyaresecuredproperlyandnotloose,tornorotherwisedamaged.Allmovingpartsshouldalsobecheckedperiodicallytoensuretheyareoperatingproperly.Cleanfrictionpads(onthebottomofthewalker)regularlytomaintainstoppingperformance.See Figure M.

Anymissing,broken,orworncomponentsshouldbereplacedimmediately,andthewalkershouldnotbeuseduntiltheyarereplaced.Onlyoriginalmanufacturer’scomponentsshouldbeused.Ifneeded,pleasecontactJoovyatourtoll-freephonenumber(877)456-5049.

CleaningThefabricmaterialonthiswalkercanbemachinewashedorcleanedusingmildhouseholdsoapordetergentandwarmwateronaspongeorcleancloth.Alwaysallowthefabrictocompletelyairdrybeforeusingthewalker.

Theframe,wheels,andtrayshouldalwaysbekeptcleanandfreeofdirtandforeignmatter.Useaspongeorclothdampenedwithwarmwaterandamilddetergentcleanertocleanthewheelsaftersuchuse.

2 Instalación de las Ruedas Delanteras• Inserteelpernodeunadelasruedasdelanterasenelorificiodeunadelasesquinasfrontales.Presionefirmementehastaqueelpernoquedecompletamenteacoplado.Ver Figura 2.1.

• Repita estos pasos para las cuatro correas restantes.• Retirelaalmohadilladelsoporteparalaespaldadelasientolocalizandolacremalleraubicadajuntoalascorreas(Ver Figura 6.3).Abralacremallerayretirelaalmohadilla.

• Paraquitarelplásticodelsoporteparalaespalda,paselascincocorreasporeltejidoyretírelodesdeelinteriordelasiento.• El asiento ya está listo para la lavadora.• Busquelaetiquetaqueindicacómolavaramáquinaenlafundadelasiento. NOTA:SOLOlafundadelasientosepuedelavaramáquina.

7 Reensamblaje del Asiento• Vuelvaacolocarelplásticoenelasientoypaselascincocorreasporloscincoorificios.• Vuelvaacolocarlaalmohadilladelsoporteparalaespaldaenelasientoycierrelacremallera.• SigalasinstruccionesdelaSección4paravolverainstalarelasientoenelandador.

MantenimientoTodoslosaccesorios,cierres,seguros,remachesyotroselementosypartesplásticasdelandadordebenserinspeccionadosregularmenteparagarantizarqueesténcorrectamenteaseguradosyquenoesténdañadosnifuncionenmal.Lascorreasylosobjetosdetelaysuscosturastambiéndebenserinspeccionadosperiódicamenteparagarantizarqueesténcorrectamenteaseguradosyquenoesténflojos,rotosodañadosdeotramanera.Todaslaspartesmovibles,comolasruedas,frenosybisagras,tambiéndebenserinspeccionadasconregularidadparagarantizarsucorrectofuncionamiento.Limpielasalmohadillasdefricción(enlaparteinferiordelandador)regularmenteparamantenersurendimientodefrenado.Ver Figura M.
