The  2018   Lismore   Friendship   Festival   –   Piazza   in   the   Park   is   an   authentic   free   family   friendly   community   event   that  encourages   residents  and  visitors   to   the   city   to  become   Italian   for   the  Day!   The  past   two   festivals  have  attracted  over  3000  attendees  each  day  to  Spinks  Park  in  Lismore’s  CBD,  with  25%  joining  the  fun  from  outside  the  region.  The  outdoor  riverside   location   is   filled  with  music,   food  and  wine  and  diverse  activities  with  a  distinctive   Italian   twist.  This  year   it   is  hosted  on  Sunday,  June  24  2018  from  10  a.m.  –  3  p.m.,  the  day  after  Lismore’s  iconic  Lantern  Parade.  

The   boutique   event   attracts   15   stallholders   and   is   supported   by   40   energetic   volunteers   from   across   the   community.  Community   organisations   surrounding   the   park   have   also   benefited   from   the   day   including   Lismore   Croquet   Club,   the  CWA  rooms  and  the  Richmond  River  Historical  Society.  

The  target  audience  provides  an  intergenerational  reach  across  the  Lismore  and  regional  community,  as  well  promotional  options  via  conventional  media  and  social  media  platforms  to  residents  in  S.E.  Queensland,  the  Mid  North  Coast  and  the  Granite  Belt  of  Qld.  

This  year  plans  are  underway  to  extend  the  day  to  include  activities  in  the  week  leading  up  to  the  event  in  the  CBD  and  by  running  workshops  with  students  from  Woodlawn  and  Trinity.  We  also  have  an  opportunity  to  employ  a  videographer  to  help  the  students  reach  out  to  other  students  in  Italy  via  YouTube.    

Lismore’s  friendship  relationship  with  Conegliano  &  Vittorio  Veneto  in  Italy  is  a  long-­‐standing  connection  that  this  public  celebration  acknowledges  and  seeks  to  strengthen.  It  recognises  the  contribution  made  by  Italian  settlers  to  the  district  over  100  years.   The   theme   is  based  on  engagement  with  all   residents  and  visitors   and  offers   individuals,  business  and  government  an  opportunity  to  invest  in  a  sense  of  place  and  the  cultural  life  of  this  spirited  community.

• Promotion  of  your  logo  on  various  Festival  print  material  (posters,  fliers,  programs  150  –  2500  run)  and  Festival  advertisements,  banners,  publicity  on  our  Friendship  Festival  facebook  and  instagram  as  well  as  in  our  TV  ad.    

• We  can  also  offer  a  prominent  space  at  the  Friendship  Festival  to  display  banner  or  set  up  a  stall  to  promote  your  work.  

• Platino  and  Oro  sponsorship  will  also  be  recognised  in  the  main  speeches  on  the  day.  Every  sponsor  will  be  announced  at  least  twice  throughout  the  day  by  the  MC.  

• Editorial  recognition  will  be  when  sponsoring  specific  elements  of  the  Festival’s  entertainment  program,  specific  activities  like  traditional  Italian  games,  tug-­‐o-­‐war,  children’s  and  adult’s  performances  and  certain  site  logistics.  

• We  have  a  giant  raffle  that  gets  drawn  on  the  day  and  is  sold  throughout  May  and  June  at  local  markets  we  are  looking  for  our  first  and  third  prize.

Toilet  Hire  –  poster  made  just  for  you  put  in  each  toilet  

$450   One  of  the  least  glamorous  elements  but  one  of  the  most  important.  You  will  have  a  captured  audience.  

Marquee  Hire   $350   Hiring  of  five  marquees  for  the  day  

New  Banner   $300   This  banner  to  be  displayed  across  Uralba  St  in  the  week  leading  up  to  the  event  

Decorations   $200   (this  is  for  material  for  more  bunting  and  tablecloths  to  be  created)  

Commedia  dell‘Arte  Workshop  venue   $200   Venue  hire  fees  for  workshop  in  CBD
