Role of HITH in Australia and about HITH Society

Hospital in the Home (HITH) services deliver selected types of patient-centred multidisciplinary acute care to suitable, consenting patients at their home or clinic setting as an alternative to inpatient (hospital) care. HITH is clinical care that reduces the length of stay in hospital or in some instances can avoid an admission altogether.

The HITH Society is the peak body representing doctors, nurses, allied health, and other health care workers in Australia, Asia & the Pacific who provide Hospital in the Home (HITH) care. The HITH Society provides education, promotes networking and through its Executive Council, represents its members by providing expert commentary and lobbying Governments at a local and Federal level on HITH issues.

The Conference will incorporate a combination of plenary and breakout sessions, advance skilled workshops, a trade exhibition - incorporating poster displays and all morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea breaks for delegates – as well as a full social program including a Welcome Reception and Conference Dinner.

Venue

HITH 2018 will take place at Stamford Plaza Brisbane. Perfectly located on the banks of the Brisbane River, the hotel is positioned just minutes to the city centre for shopping, theatre district, restaurants and Brisbane's City night life.

In 2017, the HITH Conference attracted over 180 professionals from a number of organisations all dedicated to the provision of out of hospital care.

There were attendees from across Australia and New Zealand.

Cancellation PolicyIf cancellation of sponsorship is necessary after confirmation, the following penalties will apply:For cancellation notices received in writing before 5 October 2018, a cancellation penalty of 50% of the original package price (incl.
