St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School has been at the centre of the Berwick Community since the early 1940s, currently with more than 650 families and 900 students cared for by over 200 staff. In addition, there is a past student population of many thousands who still enjoy a close connection with the School. Masters Recital Tuesday 20 June 2017

At the very prestigious and highly acclaimed Masters Recital, students of the highest musical calibre audition to secure one of 12-14 places to perform at this event. The most successful performer is awarded the Master Musician Award; their name is displayed on the Honour Board in the Music Department and they receive a $500 cash prize to aid in furthering their musical pursuits.

Christmas in July Friday 28 July 2017

A boutique and intimate Christmas concert held in the Rosanove Auditorium foyer with beautiful decorations, Christmas inspired refreshments and wonderful Christmas music. Entertainment is provided by the Chamber Choirs of St Margaret's and Berwick Grammar School. The request for donation of goods and services such as wine, chocolate, gift vouchers are all gratefully accepted and will be included in raffle hampers.

Our Human Powered Vehicle and Cycling Squad is considered the best pedal powered squad in the state, if not Australia. Our squad has continued on the road of success with the cycling and mountain biking riders winning the State Champion School awards for the fifth successive year. The Squad has also won the prestigious Simon Gerrans trophy for the Champion Cycling School in the 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 Victorian Interschool Cycling series. The HPV and Cycling Squad has also had wonderful success with many victories over recent years with our stand out Senior Girls’ team winning all five HPV races in 2016 and now holding the distance record for every track.

To be this good takes many volunteer hours of contribution from parents, staff and students and to keep our present fleet running we need to raise a minimum of $20,000 a year. Major expenses include $8,000 for new tyres, replacement brakes, gears and bodies which are subjected to extreme wear and tear in 24 hour events. A new vehicle costs $7,000 and we endeavour to replace at least one vehicle each year to keep us competitive with the top schools.

Friday 17 November 2017For over 10 years St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School has offered the community an opportunity to come together and enjoy an afternoon of social sport at Settlers Run Golf & Country Club. Golf provides participants with a round of 18 holes played under the Ambrose style format whilst others may prefer an afternoon hit of tennis in a round robin style competition. At the end of play, both groups come together for an enjoyable evening dinner in the Club House. All event proceeds have been directed towards advancing the education of our students through specific fundraising projects such as the purchase of a school bus, major building projects like the Rosanove Auditorium, Sports Pavilion, speciality equipment and the HPV and Cycling Program.

Saturday 27 May 2017 This annual event is held as an opportunity for riders to participate in a wide variety of training and dressage classes and compete against schools from local and regional areas. A great day for all riders to challenge themselves within the unique facilities of Ayr Hill Equestrian Centre which is conveniently located only 15 minutes from St Margaret’s School.

Interschool CombinedTRAINING and

DRESSAGE Day

The event is also held to support the advancement of the St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School Equestrian Team and to promote the School as a whole. Participation includes over twenty schools and one hundred horse rider combinations. The efforts of our exceptionally capable band of volunteer helpers, student and school staff, all make the day a safe, fun and rewarding experience for all involved.

The Online Business Directory is a wonderful opportunity to create awareness of the many diverse trades and services of our families, past students and local business. The general public have access to the directory through the School website and parents have access to the directory through the School portal Parent Lounge. Your listing can include a business logo and link to your website. There are also 4,000 character spaces to personalise your advertisement. The Parents’ and Friends’ Association of St Margaret’s and Berwick Grammar School is seeking interest from the School and wider community to advertise a business or service at their inaugural Outdoor Movie Night event to be held on the sports oval at St Margaret’s School. Friday 12 May 2017 The Parents’ and Friends’ Association host an annual Mother’s Day Lunch. The focus of the day is the opportunity for mothers to be pampered with a relaxing two course sit down lunch, entertained by a special guest speaker. The lunch will be held at MPD Steak Kitchen in Berwick and attendance numbers are approximately 100 plus. This event often sells out well in advance.
