Spirulina is a micro-algae in the shape of a spiral, whose nutritional value is unusual.A daily small amount of it can save a person from malnutrition! Can save his life.

Spirulina in a closer look

Spirulina grown in a greenhouse pool

10 grams daily – adult5 grams daily – child

In nature, Spirulina can be found in many freshwater environments, like ponds, lakes, and rivers. It flourishes best with plenty of sunlight and moderate temperature levels, but it is also highly adaptable, surviving even in extreme conditions.

Spirulina flourished naturally in a lake

Spirulina’s nutritional density is extremely high.It has:

• 2300% more iron than in spinach.• 3900% more beta-carotene than in carrots.• 300% more calcium than in milk.• 375% more proteins than in tofu.• 30% more anti-oxidants than in berries.

Spirulina is the richest whole-food source nature has to offer!

Who We Are is a humanitarian project founded byDr. Zeev Degani, the principal of the Herzeliya Hebrew Gymnasium high school in Tel Aviv, Israel. The project is operated by a young group of students of the 9th-11th grade, who are growing Spirulina at home and in school, just like you’ll do, in order to explore and improve the ways of growing it , to create Growing Protocols and teach other schools to do the same. Be a part of the chain to make a change.

How Does Lend a Hand? Our aim is to support hungry people around the world by spreading the knowledge of growing the Spirulina algae. We (and the FAO) believe that the use of Spirulina can help battle, reduce it significantly and even solve the malnutrition phenomenon. In order to succeed, we will teach you how to grow your own Spirulina easily and inexpensively, and consume it daily! Then, you will teach others, and they will teach their families, friends and local society , and they will also teach others – until this knowledge reaches everyone who needs it.

A chain that can foster real change – be a part of the chain

We look forward to working with you and becoming

partners of you. See you in a bit!
