God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. As people who are gifted and dedicated in ministry, we at times neglect to give ourselves what we proclaim for others. This journey is intended to awaken us to our authentic selves as we give intentional time for growing in contemplative practices.
In this six-‐‑week session, we will discuss material from “Breathing Under Water: Spirituality and the Twelve Steps” by Richard Rohr, followed by time for Centering Prayer. The confidentiality and support of the group provides a sacred space.
The group will be structured with no crosstalk or advice giving. Participants are invited to share, or just listen, read the material ahead of time, or just show up.
Whether you are new, or already familiar with the twelve-‐‑step framework and centering prayer, you are welcome. This opportunity may bring you the healing and connection you are looking for.
