Tetrad eld
It is more onvenient to use Einstein-Cartan formulation.
eAµ (x) is tetrad (vierbein, or frame eld):
gµν(x) = eAµ eAν , eµA = (eAµ )−1, A = 1, .., d; µ = 1, .., d.
The indi es A,B, C, .. are "at" Lorentz indi es (we do not are
about lower and upper Lorentz indi es).

Any dieomerphism invariant a tion is not sign-denite.
The only index marring stru ture is (non sign-denite) Levy-Civita tensor. All the rest
are u tuating elds.
Therefore, the a tion during u tuations an ontentiously passes through zero.
Large va uum u tuations are not suppressed, but even enfor ed.
The simplest example is osmologi al term:

Continuum limit
In order to guarantee existen e of ontinuum limit we need to sear h for
long-range orrelation. Usually (in latti e QCD) one uses the latti e RG to reveal the
latti e-spa ing dependan e of parameters.
This is a very unusual latti e eld theory with many-fermion verti es but no bilinear
term for the fermion propagator! Typi al (only?) behavior of orrelations is fast (several
latti e ells) exponential de ay.
There is no s ale on dieomorphism invariant latti e (by denition), and thus, no handle
to turn the on the orrelations (like β → ∞ in QCD).
The only stable way to provide long-range orrelations is look for the phase transition
and make ne-tuning. Exa tly at the phase transition surfa e the orrelation lengths are
innite and this automati ally sets the onstant Λ to be small.
Let us investigate su h possibility on the simplest (but non-trivial) model: 2D spinor gravity.
