LUBRICANTS

YOUR ADVANTAGE IN AN INDUSTRIAL WORLD

SPINDLE OILS

The main requirements of a spindle bearing is that it should enable the spindle to rotate smoothly with a minimum of vibration or deflection under load and with the least possible wear or rise in temperature. Spindle bearings can operate under different conditions which are dependent on bearing temperature, speed, load, and the presence of moisture.

Effective lubrication is vital to help protect spindle bearings from tribological processes and wear that cause machines to fail. You can trust Castrol to provide the right product for the job, across all your operations.

THE EXPERTS IN LUBRICATIONTECHNOLOGYCASTROL OFFERS YOU A COMPREHENSIVE RANGE OF WORLD-CLASS SPINDLE OILS AND PRODUCT SUPPORT SERVICES DESIGNED TO HELP YOU ACHIEVE:

> Longer spindle bearing life

A CHOICE TO SUIT YOUR NEEDS

Hyspin Spindle Oil Range

The Castrol Hyspin Spindle Oil range is based on highly refined mineral oil, enhanced with rust and oxidation inhibitors and formulated especially for the lubrication of high speed and precision machine tool spindle bearings. These types of oils are also referred to as ‘R and O’ oils.

Castrol Hyspin Spindle Oil is classified as: • DIN 51502 classification – HL

• ISO 6743/4 – Hydraulic Oils Type HL

• ISO 6743/2 – Spindle Oils Type FC

• Hyspin Spindle Oil also meets the industry specifications Cincinnati Lamb (formerly Milacron) P-45, P-62, P-65 for the appropriate viscosity

Hyspin Spindle Oil ZZ Range

The Castrol Hyspin Spindle Oil ZZ range of oils is based on a carefully selected ashless (zinc free) additive system designed to meet and exceed the most exacting performance standards. Castrol Hyspin Spindle Oil ZZ is suitable for all types of high speed spindle bearings (including textiles) and can be used in certain hydraulic systems.

Castrol Hyspin Spindle Oil ZZ is classified as:

• DIN 51502 classification – HLP

• ISO 6743/4 – Hydraulic Oils Type HM

• ISO 6743/2 – Spindle Oils Type FD

THE COMPLETE RANGE OF SPINDLE OILS

General Application

Spindle bearings, bearings and associated clutches

FC Refined mineral oils with improved properties, for example anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation, which may be obtained by additives

Pressure, bath and oil mist (aerosol) lubrication of plain or rolling bearings and associated clutches

Where clutches are involved, anti-wear or extreme pressure (EP) additives should be avoided because of the risk of corrosion

FD Refined mineral oils with improved properties, for example anti-corrosion, anti-oxidation and anti-wear, which may be obtained by additives

Pressure, bath and oil mist (aerosol) lubrication of plain or rolling bearings
