March-April 2016
Welcome to Spring! After a pretty
decent winter, it’s nice to see that spring is
here. It’s amazing that it seemed like
overnight that our lawns turned green and
started growing, along with the weeds as
well!
You can see that there are several
upcoming meetings that may be of interest to
you. You can see some of our SOS Classes
to the lower right of this column and you can
see a full listing of our classes at our website
(address is below).
As always, feel free to call or email me
if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Bryce Roberts,
Spencer County Extension Agent for
Agriculture and Natural Resources

Agricultural Commodity
Breakfast You are cordially invited to the Spencer County FFA Agricultural Commodity Breakfast at
Spencer County High School on Tuesday April 5, 2016 from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. This is the make-up date
from the snow out on President’s Day.
The Ag Commodity Breakfast provides an opportunity for Spencer County residents to come
together in a casual “meet and greet” environment. There will not be a program and you are welcomed
to come in at anytime to eat. Our goal is to showcase agricultural commodities and FFA during this
casual setting by providing agriculturally based breakfast foods to eat and FFA members to serve. There
is no charge for the breakfast.
If possible please R.S.V.P. by email to [email protected] or call Bland Baird
at 502-477-2781 by Friday April 1st. Please consider coming to Spencer County High School on April 5
to enjoy a breakfast that truly showcases what American Agriculture is about.
