• Checkpoint set up
• 0.25mg/L – 0.39mg/L (Fining penalty applied)
• 0.40mg/L or above:
✓ Higher Fining penalty applied
✓ Not allowed to drive until Alc. go below 0.40mg/L
✓ If found committed the 2nd time within 6 months, the drivers will be jailed from 1-6 months and finned from 200-1,000USD (converted).

Conclusion
• Speeding and Drink Driving are the major cause of crash, 36% and 12% accordingly
• Traffic Law has been amended to suit the current situation
• NRSC was established to engage all sectors to work together
• Traffic police professionalism is being developed, especially main risk factors such as Speeding, Drink Driving, Hemet Wearing
• Both Education and Enforcement are being implemented by traffic police to change negative behavior of road users

Critical Challenges
• Alcohol law not yet approved
• Limited educational awareness
• Limited engagement from relevant body
• Limited resource (NRSC and Traffic police)
• More DD related crash during main holidays
