WHAT’S ON AT SPEED

The last three months can be captured with just one word – TRAINING!

From Street Children, to Professional Anchors to Corporates. We started off with two beautiful workshops in June with the Parikrma Humanity Foundation in Bangalore. This is a non-profit organisation aiming to help the poorest of the poor break their cycle of poverty by providing them with top-class education; thus giving them the tools to live meaningfully.

We thank them for the opportunity to conduct ‘The Voice & Personality’ workshop with the children where we introduced them to aspects of the Voice, Communication and Listening skills and how they can be used effectively for Anchoring, Television, Radio-Jockeying or just about everyday! Our endeavours at SPEED are to create the ‘Parikrma’ brand of dynamic children.

The ‘Train the Trainer’ workshop with the teachers of the Foundation, on the other hand, worked on bringing out the inner child and creating an enthused teacher. Here are a few snapshots from the album –

How they felt after the programme –

Premakumari (Teacher): “The Voice is the real bridge between our mind and heart…I can make my class more attractive and interesting now, by bringing life and dimension to my voice…”

Christina V (Teacher): “…I realized how I can be a contagious teacher now…I can do better when I am relaxed…”

Starting mid-July, we began our new batches of individual and group training. We’ve just completed a “Children’s Voice and Personality’ workshop with a batch of mischievous girls from Jamnabai and Avabai Petit schools. They came in with hardly audible voices and left as confident speakers. The workshop ended with a lovely performance as seen below -

After the workshop, one of the students said – “I had never thought I was capable of acting or writing my own speech in a minute! I feel so good about myself now.”

SPEED’s specialty and uniqueness is our designer modules. With each individual coming in with their own requirements, we format the course to suit each one’s needs. There’s been a hub of activity,

training aspiring anchors and actors, to a brilliant but shy young boy, who would like to exude confidence in everything he does, a brand manager wanting to make people sit up and listen to his presentations and a TV and film director who directs stars but freezes when the camera is on him.

When we train professionals, the aim is to make those who consider themselves good, to be better and those better, to be the best! Below is a glimpse of a session in action -

And last but not the least, is ‘The Ultimate AHAH’ a 13-episode series on Aastha Channel, being telecast every Sunday at 10.30pm. This show combines spirituality with art, music, dance and of course valuable inputs from our special guests, to make the journey from ‘Who Am I’ to ‘I Am That’.
