Spectrum for String QuartetThree composers of different backgrounds and experience have written works of about eight minutes’ duration for players of Grade 8 standard. The three pieces were commissioned by the London String Quartet Foundation as part of its mission to encourage young people to explore the art of string quartets.

Available in two formats: score only, or score and parts.

Pieces range from Grade 3 to Diploma standard

The Spectrum series was established by ABRSM with Thalia Myers in 1996, with the aim of commissioning some of the fi nest composers to write pieces of modest length and diffi culty, whilst preserving the essential characteristics of their compositional style.
