Spectra VT Series

The effortless movement of the Spectra V Series spring arm allows equipment to be

manoeuvred easily and quickly. Once the Spectra V Series spring arm is positioned,

the mechanical brakes prevents drifting while allowing for ease of positioning. With

a horizontal reach of 38” (96 cm) and a vertical range of 42” (107 cm), effi cient and

fl exible positioning improves viewing ergonomics within any application.

Using a ceiling or wall mount, the Spectra V Series spring arm supports the

equipment needs of numerous clinical applications. By using either a C14 Console

or a fl at panel connection, unique equipment positioning can be accomplished even

directly over the patient. Internal routing of services increases safety and effi ciency

in any clinical environment.

The electric solenoid generates the necessary force to release tensions in the spring allowing the bearing to be locked or unlocked.

The power supply generates 24 VDC from 100 – 240 VAC for each solenoid. There are three (3) connections (1 per solenoid) and two (2) connections (1 per each electric brake handle).

The springs generate friction by pulling the brake shoes towards the center drum, preventing the bearing from rotating freely.

The toggle switches control movement of the arms by either restraining or dis-charging Nitrogen/Instrument Air from the brake bladders.

The brake bladders are inflated by using nitrogen or instrument air at 90 psi to provide the necessary braking force.

The bladder pushes the brake plate against the brakes with friction pads. This prohibits any drifting or unwanted movement of the brakes.
