ARDEX DEPARTS ON TIME AT HEATHROW TERMINAL 1

Working alongside contractor, Loughton Contracts, on a 40,000m² flooring refurbishment at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 1. ARDITEX NA Ultra Rapid Setting Sub-Floor Levelling and Smoothing Compound allowed floorcoverings to be applied after 4 hours. ARDEX AF 2300 adhesive was specified to fix the rubber floor coverings in this highly trafficked location.

ON TRACK AT KING’S CROSS STATION

4,300m2 screeding, tiling and grouting solution for the new, state-of-the-art Northern ticket hall at King’s Cross St Pancras Underground station. Part of Transport for London’s investment programme, ARDEX worked with contractors, DMC Rail Ltd. ARDEX A 35 Rapid Setting and Drying Screed specified at 85mm. Walkable after 3 hours and further work able to commence after just 24 hours. Large format tiles fixed using ARDEX S 21 Rapid Hardening Floor Tile Bedding Mortar. Walkable after 3 hours and further work can commence after just 24 hours. Tile joints grouted with ARDEX-FLEX FL Rapid Setting Flexible Grout, for joint widths from 3mm - 15mm. FLOORING SOLUTION FORTHE NATIONAL GALLERY

500m² refurbishment of the five lower galleries at this world famous gallery, with contractor, Specialist Screeding Solutions. The existing, uneven sub-floor received an application of ARDEX K 15-HB, which is ideal for thicker levelling applications up to 35mm, and is hard enough to walk on after just 2 hours. ARDEX A 35 Rapid Setting and Drying Screed was applied unbonded at 50mm.

A FINE PERFORMANCEAT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL

ARDEX was selected by East West Flooring on thisprestigious refurbishment project at the world famousRoyal Albert Hall.

ARDITEX NA Ultra Rapid Setting Sub-Floor Levelling and Smoothing Compound was specified on the 400m² main ground floor atrium area. Speed was a major consideration, and ARDITEX NA allows floor coverings to be applied after 4 hours.

ARDEX and Watson Stonecraft provided the ideal natural stone fixing solution for the impressive BBC Scotlandheadquarters at Pacific Quay, Glasgow. 1,500m² of natural stone was fixed throughout various areas within the building, including the main reception, audience corridors and lift cars.

ARDEX S 20 Rapid Drying Natural Stone Adhesive can be applied at 5mm - 20mm bed thickness and is ideal for use when fixing uncalibrated natural stone.

ARDEX S 20 eliminates the risk of water staining when fixing natural stone.

ARDEX partnered Stone Cladding International Ltd.to assist with the completion of the vast £675m extensionto the St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff.

ARDEX X 7001 W Rapid Drying Pourable Floor Tile Adhesive in white was used to fix 8,000m² of limestone floor tiling throughout the malls.

With ARDEX X 7001 W, tiles can be grouted and trafficked 2 hours after fixing.

ARDEX MAKES A STYLISH ENTRANCEAT THE SAVOY

ARDEX and Mega Marble Ltd. assisted in the completion of the vast £220m restoration of London’s iconic Savoy Hotel, with a tiling solution that included a selection of luxurymarble and stone.

ARDEX A 35 Rapid Setting and Drying Cement was used to screed the floor areas. ARDEX A 35 can be walked on after only 3 hours, and is dry enough to receive natural stone tiles after just 24 hours.

ARDEX X 7001 W Rapid Drying Pourable Floor Tile Adhesive in white was used for the floor tiling. With ARDEX X 7001, tiles can be grouted and trafficked 2 hours after fixing.

ARDEX S 16 W Rapid Hardening and Drying Natural Stone Adhesive with ARDEX E 90 ADMIX, was used to fix the wall tiles, which could be grouted and trafficked 2 hours after fixing.

FAST TRACK FINISH FOR HARRODS

ARDEX and BTM Marble and Granite Ltd. provided the ideal fast track fixing solution for the Menswear Departmentsof Harrods, the famous London department store.

The project commenced with an application of ARDEX SD-T B Base Mix over the original floor, which dried and hardened in a matter of hours.

ARDEX X 7 R Rapid Setting Flexible Tile Adhesive was used to fix the new 600mm x 600mm Porcelain and 800mm x 800mm Marble floor tiles.

ARDEX X 7 R can be walked on and grouted just 2 hours after application.

GREAT BRITISH POOLS INSIST ON THE BEST

Swimming pool specialist G B Pools worked with ARDEX,transforming a private pool into a contemporary andluxurious swimming pool and spa complex.

Gloss black mosaic ceramic tiles were fixed with ARDEX X 7 R Rapid Setting Flexible Tile Adhesive.

ARDEX X 7 R is suitable for fixing all types of wall and floor tiles including porcelain, and can be walked on and grouted after just 2 hours.

The tile joints were grouted with ARDEX-FLEX FL Rapid Setting Flexible Grout in Innocent Black. ARDEX-FLEX grouts are available in 32 colours.

SPECIFY TILING IN SWIMMING POOLS& LEISURE CENTRES WITH CONFIDENCE

COST EFFECTIVE POOL REFURBISHMENT

A cost effective refurbishment was achieved atNewcastle-under-Lyme school, partnering Underwater Pool Services of Manchester.

The wall surfaces of the pool were rendered with ARDEX AM 100 Fast Track One Coat Tiling Render. Tiles could be fixed just 2 hours after application.

ARDEX S 21 Bedding Mortar was used to create falls in the changing rooms, and to pre-level the pool base. Tiling was able to commence after just 3 hours.

Flexible wall and floor tile adhesives were used to fix anti-slip ceramic tiles to the pool deck, pool surround and changing room facilities.

The pool interior tile joints were grouted with epoxy-based ARDEX WA Grout.

GETTING IN THE ‘SWIM OF THINGS’

ARDEX and contractor, P. Plunkett Tiling Contractors, installed a comprehensive tiling system for a prestigious swimming pool at Wentworth Leisure Centre.

Prior to tiling certain wall surfaces were rendered with ARDEX AM 100 Fast Track One Coat Tiling Render.

The 3,000m² project commenced using ARDEX X 7 G PLUS Grey Flexible Tile Adhesive with built-in admix. The tile joints were grouted with ARDEX WA epoxy-based grout, which provided a waterproof and chemically resistant joint.

ARDEX X 7 R Rapid Setting Flexible Tile Adhesive was used to fix the pool surround and changing area floor tiles. ARDEX-FLEX S 38 Flexible Rapid Hardening Floor Tile Bedding Mortar was used to fix large format tiles in the reception area.

The tile joints were grouted with ARDEX-FLEX FL, which is available in 32 colours.

NEW £11M SPORTS AND MEDIA CENTRE

A 2,500m² tiling and grouting solution for Tonbridge School Sports and Media Centre, one of the UK’s premierindependent boarding schools. Its Sports Centre containsa 25 metre six lane swimming pool, a 5-court sports hall, climbing wall, a multi-purpose room, a fitness suite,a classroom and social areas.

ARDEX X 7 R Rapid Setting Flexible Tile Adhesive was specified to fix the pool surround floor tiles.

ARDEX X 7 G PLUS Grey Flexible Tile Adhesive with built-in admix was selected to fix the remaining floor and wall tiles.

Prior to tiling 11 shower cubicles, the walls and floors were tanked with ARDEX WPC, which provides rapid drying waterproof protection.

The tile joints of the pool tank were grouted with ARDEX WA Epoxy Grout. The remaining wall and floor tile joints were grouted with ARDEX-FLEX FL Grey Rapid Setting Flexible Grout, which is available in 32 colours.

A highly efficient tiling installation for the new visitors’ entrance at The Mall, situated in the heart of Maidstone. The Mall offers a mix of independent retailers and larger department stores, plus a selection of places to eat, making for a relaxing and enjoyable shopping experience.

ARDEX X 78 S MIcROtEc® Ultra Rapid Setting Floor Tile Adhesive in grey was used to fix 320m2 of 1200mm x 540mm Riven, anti-slip porcelain tiles to level and ramped floor areas.

ARDEX X 7 R Rapid Setting Flexible Tile Adhesive was used to fix 110m2 of smaller sized 300mm x 300mm Riven, anti-slip porcelain tiles to a new pedestrian bridge, linking the new and existing buildings.

The tile joints were grouted with ARDEX-FlEX Fl Rapid Setting Flexible Grout in Ocean Grey, just one of the 32 colours available.

ARDEX and Telling (Finishings) Ltd. created a highperformance flooring and tiling solution for the UK’s largest retirement village in Nottingham, consisting of 327 homes and 18 health and leisure facilities on a 24-acre site.

The 14,000m2 floor area was prepared using ARDEX K 301 Exterior Self-Smoothing Levelling and Resurfacing Compound, which is ideal for smoothing and levelling rough and damaged concrete surfaces in external and internal situations.
