NOTESDo not install any bulb type sprinkler ifthe bulb is cracked or there is a loss of

liquid from the bulb. With the sprinklerheld horizontally, a small air bubbleshould be present. The diameter of theair bubble is approximately 1,6 mm forthe 57C to 2,4 mm for the 182C tem-perature ratings.

A leak tight ISO7/1-R3/8 sprinkler jointshould be obtained with a torque of 8to 16 Nm. A maximum of 25 Nm oftorque may be used to install sprin-klers with ISO 7/1-R3/8 connections. Aleak tight 1/2 inch NPT sprinkler jointshould be obtained with a torque of 9to 19 Nm. A maximum of 28 Nm oftorque may be used to install sprin-klers with 1/2 NPT connections. A leaktight 3/4 inch NPT sprinkler jointshould be obtained with a torque of 13to 27 Nm. A maximum of 40 Nm oftorque is to be used to install sprinklerswith 3/4 NPT connections. Higher lev-els of torque may distort the sprinklerinlet and cause leakage or impairmentof the sprinkler.

Do not attempt to make-up for insuffi-cient adjustment in the escutcheonplate by under- or over-tightening thesprinkler. Readjust the position of thesprinkler fitting to suit.
