Page 1 Term 3, Week 7 2016 Our shining musical stars We would like to acknowledge and celebrate the success of our students’ parƟcipaƟon and commitment to the various enrichment programs. In music alone there are over 100 students who have performed in various concerts recently. This week students of Mrs Morrison’s choir group sang beauƟfully, to a wonderful repertoire, at the Cantabile Music FesƟval held at the Opera House. Mr Debnam conducted the 1000 students’ massed choir and accompanying orchestra excepƟonally. The combined schools Symphonia Jubliate opened the show and the students across UlƟmo Public Schools shone. It was a memorable performing arts evening and we are extremely proud to have performed in this event for the rst Ɵme. Last week the FesƟval of Instrumental Music was a great success and you can read a rst hand experience through a recount from HWPS students further in this newsleƩer. Our choir, dance and orchestra students are having their last rehearsals prior to the Our Spectacular concert on Monday, also held at the Opera House. Student’s academic and social success is intrinsically linked to the rich opportuniƟes available at school. We thank all of the students for their dedicaƟon and to the teachers involved for their contribuƟon to performing arts at this high level.
