William J ShepherdManaging Director, CFO for Global Wealth and Investment Management

Bill Shepherd is the chief financial officer for the Global Wealth and Investment Management (GWIM) business at Bank of America. He sits on the Management, Risk and Compensation Committees for GWIM.

He joined Bank of America in July 2010, after spending the previous 18 years with J.P. Morgan in a variety of leadership positions. He ran Strategy and Development for J.P. Morgan’s Asset and Wealth Management business, and served as CFO of J.P. Morgan’s Private Wealth Management group. Most recently, he started and ran a new business unit within J.P. Morgan’s Private Wealth Management business focused on affluent clients.

Earlier, Shepherd spent 12 years as a mergers and acquisitions specialist within J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank working with clients across a wide range of industries in both New York and San Francisco, where he helped start a West-Coast M&A group for the firm.

Shepherd is a graduate of Stanford University and lives in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife and four children. He currently serves on the leadership council of the Michael J Fox Foundation.

Christopher D. Sullivan IIIVice President, Bank of America

Christopher D. Sullivan has been vice president at Bank of America Merrill Lynch since 1987. A native of New York, he was instrumental in establishing Merrill Lynch as the first full-scale financial services firm to recognize and address the needs of clients with disabilities.

Over the years, Sullivan has guided Bank of America/Merrill Lynch in establishing services for clients who are deaf /hard of hearing, blind/visually impaired, and those who have special needs.

Currently, he serves as a member of the Enterprise Client Coverage and Insights team and remains as subject matter expert in the area of special needs.

Sullivan and his family currently reside in Lawrenceville, New Jersey and participate in numerous community activities.

Lori A. SieberManaging Director/Market Trust Director

Lori A. Sieber is a managing director/Market Trust director in the High Net Worth division of the NY Metro Region at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management. Sieber is responsible for the client servicing of individual asset management accounts, with an emphasis on personal trust accounts for high net worth clients. In addition, Sieber currently manages a team of 10 trust professionals. She has been in the trust/investment business in various capacities for 30+ years, including 16+ years at U.S. Trust.

Prior to joining U.S. Trust, Sieber was a vice president at Accurecord, Inc., functioning as an employee benefits consultant to several major companies. She has also been employed at Shearson Lehman Brothers and Citibank.

She received her B.B.A. from Hofstra University in 1981.

Rocco Papandrea has more than 20 years of experience providing financial and wealth management advice and guidance. He is the senior partner of the Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Practice – PSS & Associates.

Papandrea is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) and is a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®). He joined Merrill Lynch as a financial advisor in January of 1995. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch he was a financial consultant at Smith Barney.

Merrill Lynch has recognized his commitment to his profession and clients with an appointment as chairman to Merrill Lynch’s Advisory Council to Management, where he represented the interests of financial advisors and clients in a forum that is national in scope. In 2009 he was the recipient of the “David Brady Award”, in recognition of excellence in client partnership and commitment. He was selected in 2008 as a Top Adviser by Reuters AdvicePoint™. Papandrea is also a member of the Retirement Plan Referral Network, a qualified group of financial advisors who have experience and expertise serving retirement plan clients. A structured FA selection process, which recognizes 401k experience, has been facilitated in partnership with the U.S. Wealth Management field leadership team. He was designated as one of 401kWire’s 300 Most Influential Advisors in Defined Contribution for 2010.

His primary areas of practice are financial planning and investment management. Papandrea also specializes in retirement, estate & trust planning for individuals, corporations, small-mid size business owners and non-profit organizations.

Papandrea serves as vice chair and board member for Lott Community Development Corporation. Lott CDC was founded on a single mission: to build a better quality of life for New York’s elderly, those who were formerly homeless, and individuals of low to moderate income, by providing them with clean, safe housing and supportive services that help them lead independent and fulfilling lives. Since opening its first site in 1988, Lott CDC has grown to become a leading force in revitalizing the changing East Harlem community, helping thousands of New Yorkers live with dignity and respect.

He was born and raised in Brooklyn and currently resides with his family in Tribeca, New York City.

Loren Gilberg RN, BSW, MBA, CMCFounder and PresidentElder Care Consulting, Inc.

Loren Gilberg, a registered nurse with more than 30 years of experience in geriatric care, founded Elder Care Consulting, Inc. and Elder Care Homecare Inc. to help her senior clients receive outstanding care and maintain their quality of life.

In addition to her medical expertise, Gilberg has a bachelor’s degree in social work and an MBA. This background affords her the necessary skills to help her clients navigate the complex world of managed care, medical benefits, social service organizations and legal issues. Gilberg’s unique qualifications also allow her to oversee a wide range of issues that the elderly face, whether pragmatic, psychological or medical. This comes as a great relief for seniors and their loved ones who are often far away or too busy to provide adequate care.

Gilberg has been called on to share her expertise on critical issues facing the elderly, as well as Alzheimer’s disease, on Bloomberg Television, Cablevision’s News 12 Westchester and other broadcast media. In addition, she has had articles published in numerous journals, including The Journal News, Inside Westchester County, Advance for Nurses, and Town Report. Bernard KrooksFounding partner of the law firm Littman Krooks LLP

Bernard A. Krooks is a founding partner of the law firm Littman Krooks LLP and chair of its Elder Law and Special Needs Department. Krooks is a nationally-recognized expert in all aspects of elder law and special needs planning. He is the president of the board of directors of the Arc of Westchester, the largest agency in Westchester County serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Krooks is past president of the Special Needs Alliance, a national, invitation-only, not-for-profit organization dedicated to assisting families with special needs planning. He is past president of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), a fellow of NAELA, past chair of the NAELA Tax Section and past editor-in-chief of the NAELA News. In addition, he is certified as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) by the National Elder Law Foundation and is an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP). He is a founding member and past president of the New York Chapter of NAELA. In 2008, he received the Chapter’s Outstanding Achievement Award for his lifelong work on behalf of seniors and those with disabilities. In 2007, his firm received the NYSARC employer of the year award for employing people with disabilities. In 2011, his firm received the Family Friendly Employment Policy Award from the Westchester Women’s Bar Association.

Krooks is past chair of the Elder Law and Special Needs Section of the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) and past editor-in-chief of the Elder Law Attorney, the newsletter of the NYSBA Elder Law and Special Needs Section. He also is a member of the Trusts and Estates Law Section and Tax Section of the NYSBA. Krooks co-authors (1) a chapter in the NYSBA publication Guardianship Practice in New York State entitled “Creative Advocacy in Guardianship Settings: Medicaid and Estate Planning, Including Transfer of Assets, Supplemental Needs Trusts & Protection of Disabled Family Members”; and (2) the NYSBA publication Elder Law, Special Needs Planning and Will Drafting. He is chair of the elder law committee of the editorial advisory board of Trusts & Estates magazine, and serves on the editorial boards of Exceptional Parent magazine, and Leimberg Information Services.

Krooks is past president of the Estate Planning Council of Westchester, a member of the advisory board of the National Association of Estate Planning Councils Foundation, and the Hudson Valley Estate Planning Council. He also is vice chair of the Elder Law, Disability Planning and Bioethics Group of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Section and a member of the Tax Section of the American Bar Association; a member of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, and a member of the American Institute of CPAs. Krooks also is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and is vice chair of its Elder Law Committee. He is an adjunct professor at NYU Center for Finance, Law & Taxation and is a member of the NYU Institute on Federal Taxation Advisory Board. Krooks has presented on a variety of elder law and special needs topics at the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, the premier estate planning conference in the country.

Krooks has served on the board of directors of the Alzheimer’s Association Westchester/Putnam Chapter and the Bioethics Advisory Committee of New York Hospital. He is a member of the Blythedale Children’s Hospital Planned Giving Professional Advisory Board, a member of the legal advisory committee of the Evelyn Frank Legal Resources Program of Selfhelp Community Services, Inc., and a board member of the Caregiver’s Insights Foundation. Bill Christiaanse is a vice president, senior financial advisor, in the Stamford Merrill Lynch office. As a financial advisor, Christiaanse helps clients handle their personal and business finances. He has been with Merrill Lynch since 1980 and has over 30-years experience in the financial services industry. He holds an MBA and an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering.
