If requesting a scholarship you MUST submit registration form by Tuesday, December 6 (without payment). You will be contacted regarding the awarded scholarship amount and to confirm registration. Please pick up your children no later than 6:00 p.m. Feel free to park in the parking lot and pick your child(ren) up by coming to the Porty during dismissal. Accessorize Like a “POP” Star Who: Grades 4-8

Date: Monday, December 12 Come join Ms. Reinhardt and Mrs. Nauman for an afternoon of fun, music,

crafting and hot cocoa. In this exciting, once-in- a- December holiday class you will be making a very fashionable and Eco-Friendly bracelet with

holiday flair; something to keep for yourself or give as a gift! Each

participant will learn the art of making a bracelet from recycled soda pop tops (do-it-yourself direction sheets will also be provided to help in making

additional bracelets for family and friends). All the celebrities are wearing these fashionable bracelets and now you will too! Hot cocoa, laughter and

holiday music are all included in this class. Ms. Reinhardt and Mrs. Nauman

will have the supplies but if you’d like to start collecting soda can tops to help in this recycled project we’d greatly appreciate the help!

Cost: $20 + $7 materials fee = $27

Tuesday, December 13th Holiday Baking with Mrs. Cortez Who: Grades K-5

Date: Tuesday, December 13

Join Mrs. Cortez in the fun of decorating a two layer cake to take home to share with your family. Students will chose the shape of their cake and use

their creativity to decorate using frosting, candy and holiday forms created

with fondant paste. Every child will have hot cocoa and cookies while we

work on our holiday cakes as well as learn a few pastry lessons. Ingredients:

white flour, milk, eggs, chocolate, vanilla, butter, marshmallows, sugar, various candies, frosting. The sizes to choose from are four, five and six inches.

A Very Muppet Christmas Who: Grades K-2 Date: Tuesday, December 13

Come join Mrs. Donahue to make Muppet themed holiday cards and gift tags

while listening to Muppet Christmas songs. Enjoy a candy cane as your creative and wacky cards take shape in true Jim Henson style.

Cost: $20 + $5 materials fee = $25

Christmas Tree Decorating Who: Grades 1-3

Date: Tuesday, December 13 Join Mrs. Perona and Ms. Henderson for Christmas tree decorating fun!

You’ll decorate your very own “mini” Christmas tree while listening to wonderful music. Please feel free to wear your favorite holiday accessory to

our class.

Cost: $20 + $15 materials fee = $35

Holiday LEGO Ornaments for Lower School - Closed Who: Grades 3rd – 5th

Date: Tuesday, December 13 Come join Mrs. Hotz for Lego ornament making with cookie decorating, too!

All students will create LEGO ornaments and enjoy cookie decorating. Cost: $20 + $15 materials fee = $35

Wednesday, December 14th Holiday GaGa with Hot Chocolate Who: Grades K-2 Date: Wednesday, December 14

Join Mr. Murawski and Mr. Pronto Holiday for some action packed games that will knock your socks off, followed by a nice relaxing cup of hot

chocolate that you are sure to enjoy. Party favors are included.

Cost: $20 + $10 materials fee = $30

Holiday Bash with Mrs. DePalma & Mrs. Gengler Who: Grades K-3

Date: Wednesday, December 14 Enjoy the spirit of Christmas with your Sacred Heart friends! This holiday

class focuses on children engaging in large motor Christmas related activities.

After each game, every child will have an opportunity to dig in Santa’s toy

chest for a prize. A sack will be provided to carry the winnings home.

Everyone is a winner! Participants will also have an opportunity to choose a number of crafts and ornaments to create and of course, dance to some

rocking Christmas music.

Cost: $20 + $5 materials fee = $25

Christmas in the Computer Lab with Mrs. Taylor Who: Grades 2-4

Date: Wednesday, December 14 Come to the Computer Lab and create holiday pictures, cards, or place mats

to decorate your home for the holidays. We will use Kerpoof, Kid Pix, and several holiday websites that will allow you to showcase your creative side

for all to see. A special edible holiday mouse will be your treat in the lab. Cost: $20 + $5 materials fee = $25

Joyeux Noel: Let’s make French Crêpes! Who: Grades 3- 6

Date: Wednesday, December 14 Join Monsieur Ziegler in making traditional French crêpes for the holiday!

Cost: $20 + $7 materials fee = $27

Holiday Jingle Jewelry Jam Who: Grades 5-7

Date: Wednesday, December 14 Join Ms. Jorgensen and Ms. Patterson for Holiday Fun. The jewelry? Each girl

will make two pairs of Christmas earrings; one pair for herself and one pair for her mom. The jam? To add to the festivities we’ll have a good old fashioned

Christmas sing-a-long.

Thursday, December 15th

Holiday Bingo Who: Grades K-2

Date: Thursday, December 15

With Mrs. Fallon Hardey 1st Grade Teacher Join Mrs. Fallon in making festive bingo cards. Holiday music will play in the

background as we sip hot chocolate and eat cookies while playing several rounds of Bingo. Fun holiday prizes will be awarded! Don’t miss the

excitement!

Christmas Cookie Decorating with the Academy 1 Teachers Who: Grades K-3

Date: Thursday, December 15 Come decorate holiday sugar cookies with Mrs. Goodbody and Ms.

Tommelein. We will be listening to holiday music while adding sprinkles and

frosting to the sugar cookies. The children will take them home to enjoy! Cost: $20 + $5 materials fee = $25

Penguin Blankets, Penguin Ornaments,

and Cocoa - Oh My! With Mrs. Moric and Mrs. Taylor - CLOSED Who: Grades 3-8

Date: Thursday, December 15 T’is the season to be creative, crafty, and to give! Sip warm hot cocoa as you

create your very own fleece holiday blanket AND penguin ornament.

Pattern includes penguins along with a penguin ornament! Enjoy the blanket throughout the chilly winter or give it as a thoughtful gift to your friends and

family.

Cost: $20 + $20 materials fee = $40

Winter Greens: Create A Cactus Garden! Who: Grades 3-8

Date: Thursday, December 15 With Ms. Swillinger, Library Assistant/Science Lab Assistant

Construct a desert plant ecosystem in a shallow ceramic pot! Personalize your

desert garden with decorative rocks, sand, and plastic animals! You will be able to observe cacti growth and blooming. Decorative elements are

included. Dismissal at 5:30 p.m. Cost: $20 + $30 materials fee = $50

Friday, December 16th

Howl-iday Treats Who: Grades K-3 Date: Friday, December 16

Join Miss Murphy, A1a assistant, as we bake healthy holiday treats for cats

and dogs. While the treats are baking, we will decorate boxes to put the treats in. Bake something delicious to take home for your special furry friend!

Christmas Around the World - CLOSED Who: Grades K-6

Date: Friday, December 16

Join Mrs. Carlucci as you take a trip around the world and discover how children in other countries celebrate Christmas! After getting your

personalized “messenger bags” and passport, get ready to take off for Ireland, Italy and Spain. You will make a Christmas, keepsake ornament representing

the tradition of that country. Next you will eat a special snack from each

country as well. You will leave with your “messenger bag” full of crafts, snacks and fun facts from your trip around the world. Oh yes, there might

even be a visit from a special someone from America too! Don’t miss this exciting adventure—ho ho ho!

Holiday Gift from the Kitchen Who: Grades 2-5 Date: Friday, December 16

Join Mrs. Edwards, Lower School Religion Teacher. This tasty class will

delight anyone’s sweet tooth. Students will make delicious gifts to share with

their loved ones such as Snowman Soup, Holiday Jewel Bark, Cookies for

Santa, and Ho-Ho Fudge. All treats will be delightfully wrapped in holiday containers, ready to share.
