Foreword

I have had the opportunity to meet many healers over the course

of my life and it’s my belief that Seka Nikolic is exceptional,

which is perhaps why so many people, with such a vast array of

problems, go to her for help.

What is particularly interesting is that healing can take place

over distance. I had a personal experience of this some years ago

when I hurt my knee skiing. I was bored sitting in the chalet,

so I called a few friends, one of them being Seka. I believed at

the time I had to be in the presence of the healer for it to work.

However, Seka asked me to hang up and notice what happened.

What followed was extraordinary: I could suddenly feel the pain

disappearing from my leg.

I began looking into the research on distance healing and

found evidence to support its effectiveness. Randolph C. Byrd,

MD, conducted a study into the effects of distance healing through

prayer, with fascinating results. What is particularly interesting

is that people in the control group, who were not even aware

that they were receiving distance healing, experienced significant

health improvements. There are numerous scientific studies that

show that energy healing works – everything from lowered blood

pressure to the hastened healing of wounds, decreased headaches

and tumours shrinking has been reported in different scientific

papers. It seems we all possess the ability to heal others, and our-

selves to some degree.

The notion of the concentration of energy having a thera-

peutic effect is not a new one, though it struggles to be accepted.

But then it was only a few years ago that hypnosis, acupuncture

and other ‘alternative’ treatments were widely considered hocus

pocus, and they are almost mainstream these days.

I am not aware of any particular procedure or drug that

works for everyone and every malady on every occasion. Psy-

chologist Dr Roger Callahan famously says, ‘Anyone who claims

a 100 per cent success rate doesn’t have enough clients.’ How-

ever, there are healers who stand out. I have known and worked

with Seka for more than 20 years and have seen her help people,

many of them sceptical, with all sorts of different problems, and

consistently get extraordinary results. In this book, she explains

how you can start to discover and utilize your own natural heal-

ing abilities. It will give you a valuable insight into her work and

a good idea of how her approach will be of help to you. I hope

that reading it will open your mind to new life-enhancing pos-

sibilities.

Introduction

I was sitting in an airport, waiting to board a plane, when I had

an overwhelming urge to give my earrings to the woman sitting

next to me. It was such a strong feeling that I didn’t ques-

tion it. I liked my earrings, but wasn’t particularly attached to

them, and so I took them off and handed them to the bemused

stranger.

I explained to her that I didn’t quite know why I was giving

them to her but I just felt it was the right thing to do. I felt as

if they belonged to her.

When I told her this, the grateful lady welled up with emo-

tion and started crying. She told me that her mother had given

her a pair of earrings exactly like mine but that she had lost

them. When she had sat next to me she had noticed my earrings

straightaway and it had made her think of her mother.

We were both overwhelmed.

Most people would say that this strange interaction was due to coincidence, a one-in-a-million chance. But this woman’s story is an example of what happens when we listen to, and act on, the messages that we pick up through our energy frequen-cies. Neither of these women acted consciously; the message was exchanged between them energetically.

Although it might seem like a magical story, things like this happen to all of us every day. Do you ever call someone and, before they even speak, know that they are upset? Or do you ever walk into a room and within a split second know that something is wrong? Maybe you can sense when someone is thinking about you. Have you ever telephoned someone just as they were about

to ring you? Or received an email from a friend about whom you dreamed the night before? Can you sense when someone is looking at you from across a room? And can you ever tell what someone is thinking? When you experience situations like these that are hard to explain, it seems that there is more going on than just coincidence. There is: you are experiencing an energetic con-nection with another person.

Energy is all around you all the time. You can’t see it, but right now, this very second, you are surrounded by invisible communication channels. And just as you have your own phone number, passport number and DNA fingerprint, so you have an energetic frequency that distinguishes you from other people, and this creates a worldwide web of energy between you and every-one else, and even between you and objects. So, whilst you pick up messages from people through their words and actions, more importantly, you also send and receive information through your energy.

Having shared my healing knowledge and experiences in my first book, I wanted to write a book about energy because it is so important in all of our lives. We all know this, even if we’re not always conscious of it. Phrases such as ‘we’re on the same wave-length’, ‘you’re so in tune with each other’, ‘the atmosphere was electric’, ‘he sent shivers down my spine’, ‘they got a good feeling about it’ or ‘I feel that we’re in synch’ all describe the innate gift each of us has to communicate energetically. We often call this ‘intuition’ or ‘gut instinct’.

You use your own energetic gift all the time, even if you’re not aware of it. What you may also not be aware of right now is that you have a choice over whether or not to connect to a particular energy. You can choose to receive the energies that are right for you and protect yourself against the frequencies that are negative for you, and you can also choose what you send
