YOUR CHOICEA NATURAL WONDERLANDHaving lived in big cities most of my life (Vancouver, Toronto and Amsterdam), it was a bit of culture shock to move to the small village of Harrison Hot Springs. What brought my family here and what keeps us here is the beauty, the nature and the small town feel. Personally, my favourite past time is hiking. The Harrison Hot Springs area offers spectacular hikes including: the Harrison Grind (aka Campbell Lake trail), Bear Mountain, and my personal favourite: Slollicum Mountain. A little rougher than the manicured trails closer to Vancouver, you truly feel you’re getting away from the crowds as you hike our local trails. Coming a close second is biking the country roads in the District of Kent. The roads are fl at and while I miss the bike paths of Amsterdam, once you’re on the country roads the traffi c is light and generally

very considerate. Last, but not least, walking the foreshore of Harrison Lake and around the lagoon never gets old with each day bringing something new to see: windsurfers, kite boarders, geese, eagles, sunsets, spectacular cloud formations. We live and enjoy life in a natural wonderland.
