Youth Services Librarians are busy planning and promoting Summer Reading, which begins June 1. Early Literacy Programs will return next month.

General Programs

Monthly Movie (Ages: 6 years to 13 years)Wednesday, May 8 at 4 p.m. The Lion King, Follow the journey of a lion cub, Simba, as he meets new friends along the way. Closed Captioning will be used, and snacks will be provided while supplies last.

Lit to Be Fit (Ages: 6 years to 13 years) Saturday, May 4 at 2 p.m. The library is great to exercise your brain, but what about the rest of your body? Join us to get fit and have fun with Miss Liz!

In-Between Book Discussion (Ages: 10 years to 13 years) Monday, May 6 at 4 p.m. Join us this month to discuss Lost and Found by Andrew Clements. Books are available for checkout at Circulation Services.

Write On! (Ages: 6 years to 13 years)Monday, May 13 at 4 p.m. Get your creativity flowing in HPL’s own Writing Club.

mazes with everyday items.

STEM Squad (Ages: 6 years to 13 years) Thursday, May 23 at 4 p.m. Oh, say can you see yourself joining this patriotic program? We will talk about America’s iconic building, and we will even make our own.

*NEW* Young Artists (ages: 6 years to 13 years) Saturday, May 25 at 2 p.m. Join our new Art Club. Each month we will be experimenting with new themes and mediums. Aprons will be available, but please wear play clothes if possible.
