WHERE THE WHERE THE WILD THINGS AREWILD THINGS ARE
2012/2013 SEASON SPONSORSJOIN US
Welcome to WCT’s 37th Season, and my second season
as Artistic Director.
The 2012/13 season features very exciting partnerships
with organizations from our community. We’re partnering
with Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc (Kamloops Indian Band)
on an award-winning production and, for the fi rst time in
history, we are partnering with the Kamloops Symphony
to produce an incredible Broadway musical!
We’ll feature a number of plays about our region,
including a world premiere of a new play by a BC
author. We’ll showcase performers from our community
and train our region’s emerging artists. We’ll continue
our successful Pay-What-You-Can matinees to ensure
everyone can experience live theatre. Plus, we will
introduce programming created specifi cally for young
children (which, as a father of two young kids, I’m very
excited about!)
WCT will also shine on the national stage–showcasing
our work at theatres across the country (in BC, Ontario,
Alberta and Saskatchewan!). And throughout the season
we’ll spotlight the talented Kamloops residents “behind
the scenes” at WCT, who take personal pride in creating
high quality professional productions for our audiences.
I am proud to call Kamloops my home. This is a great
city and WCT is a great theatre. The 2012/13 season is
something for all of us to celebrate.
That’s why, My Theatre is… Western Canada Theatre!
Sincerely,
Daryl Cloran & Lori Marchand
