SHIPBUILDING & SHIPREPAIRING

PROSPECTIVE LINES OF DEVELOPMENT

There was built approximately 500 large and small vessels at “Yantar” factory and repaired more then 450 NAVI ships and vessels. Currently, there is an increase of order volume at Kaliningrad shipbuilding, the industry shows a positive trend.

INDUSTRY STATISTICS TODAY

There is 90% of proven reserves of amber in the Kaliningrad region; amber reserves exceed 160 thousand. tons; Annual mining is 340 tons; 200 companies dispose of amber; 150 companies work the amber; «The Amber union» operates in the territory of the region.

One of the objectives of new projects implementation in the amber industry is decrease in scale of mined raw materials exported outside

the Kaliningrad region and the Russian Federation.
