When: Thursday, August 25, 2016

Time: 7:00 PM

Purpose: to be presented the new Director of

Missions and to vote Dear CRBA Churches and Members,

The CRBA Director of Missions Search Team is pleased to recommend Robby Smith as our new Director of Missions. We believe that the Lord has directed our steps and led both the CRBA and Robby to each other. Here is a short bio of Robby:

Married to Sharon Smith in 1980. Two Children, Savannah and Shawn. Master-Church Music/ Minor-Religious education, Southwestern Baptist Theological Sem.

Robby has about 37 years of ministry experience and has led the Daniell Baptist Associa-tion (DBA) in Ailey, Georgia, for the last nine years (He was honored as the Georgia Bap-tist Associational Missionary of the year for 2015). During this time, the DBA has grown by six churches. Four large, on-going ministries were also launched during his tenure: 1. A Pregnancy Resource Clinic. 2. Mercy Medical Clinic. 3. Prison Ministry located in Geor-gia's largest prison. 4. Freedom House, a transitional home for inmates.

Robby has a strong background in missions and music ministries, however, his greatest joy is in evangelism. Robby has lead conferences in Georgia teaching churches to reach their community with a special emphasis on personal evangelism and small groups/Sunday School. Robby loves to train churches in being evangelistic in every ministry they undertake. Another area that Robby focuses on is Church Revitalization and leadership. He mentors churches through the Healthy Kingdom Church process, Sunday School men-toring, Bible Storying training, Leadership training, and by personal meetings with church-es. Robby has led churches in the DBA to network to meet the needs of the area of DBA, the state of Georgia, our nation, and world. He has led numerous mission trips with the DBA churches, partnering together, from local to international.

Interim Director of Missions, Emeritus…...These are exciting days in the life of CRBA.

We were notified on August 18th by our DOM Search Committee that they had been led to Rev.

Robby Smith as their candidate. We mailed all information to churches August 22nd.

You have seen the picture of he and his wife on the front of the newsletter. A brief biography is en-

closed from Keith Rose, Chairman of the Search Committee. We are excited about this, and we will

have a Special Called Business Conference on August 25th, 7:00 PM at Mount Home Baptist

Church. At that time, he will be presented by the committee, and there will be a time for questions to the candidate

and a vote taken.

We are excited about what God has done to lead this good man to us.

All of our churches need to be represented at that meeting.

I want to thank Justin Cunningham and all of his co-workers and all of the churches who participated in the World

Changers week. It was a God-blessed effort.

There are a lot of things coming up for the Fall.

World Changers—Morganton, July 2016

Words cannot express how grateful I

am to your congregation for supporting the

World Changers Morganton Project, July 18-

23, 2016. Because of your support,

4 people accepted Christ

and the Gospel was shared 236 times. 186 participants

from NC, SC, FL, MD, GA, and VA on 19 crews completed 26 worksites including 9

ramps and other home repair for Foothills Service Project. Some of the crews that fin-

ished early also passed out water and popsicles on the Greenway and at Martha’s Park as well as

assisted at Burke United Christian Ministries and the House of Refuge on Friday.

I just want to say thank you to the multitude of volunteers who helped around Walter Johnson Middle

School, cleaning bathrooms, wiping tables, taking out the trash, as well as serving awesome refresh-

ments! The participants were so grateful for all that was done to serve them as they served our com-

munity!

I hope you all will go ahead and mark your calendars for July 17-22, 2017, and begin praying now for

God to move again in a mighty way in our area next Summer!

Sincerely,

Justin Cunningham, Associational Coordinator, World Changers, Associate Pastor, El Bethel Baptist
